I don't understand how V4 will help with anything.  How using spare CPU cycles (which I don't have) is of any benefit to an average John.

I ran the TESTNET for over 2 weeks and still don't see the full picture.

I have an old gaming computer and I would rather use it for other purposes which means the CPU needs to be utilized for whatever application that I'm running needs.  Along with the GPUs and other components.

First of all V4 stops dual mining, where miners just add mining of PascalCoin even it doesn't really pay off. Dual mining is harmful because it makes it unrealistic expensive to mine PascalCoin.
Next it stops asic mining and opens for cpu mining to make it more difficult to establish a monopoly.

It is nice of you to run a TESTNET node, but in my opinion you run too many nodes right now. It is a waste of electric power and even makes it difficult for other people to test things.

So what's going on in pascal? Do you guys that have invested in it think it will come back to 100,000 sats? I'm trying to understand what projects are valuable that have survived the test of time.

In my prediction, PascalCoin will come back (it means raising) to its all time high, or at least somewhere around 90k to 100k satoshi within the rest nearly three months this year.
Or it will reach the price range in early months of 2019.
Stay tuned for more good news from PASC team and let's keep watching the price movements of PASC in the coming months.

TESTNET 3.0.6 keeps crashing.

Possible bugs.
I am new to this.
@nightraven,  my IP keeps getting banned.
But it see your Intel 8086k overclocked to (5.5GHz) HR.  It's insanely fast.

1000 H/S?
I should borrow my daughters comp.  She's into latest hardware gaming.  Intel core i-9.

Hi
I run everything under Linux so I don't know how the miner works under Windows.

However, testnet is for development, so errors are to be expected. The best way to avoid errors is to keep updating to the newest version of all apps, best each and every day. Bug reports to our devs at Discord are appreciated.

But as I told you before I think you try to run too many nodes. It makes it difficult for the rest of us to test when you establish a mining monopoly, so we have to wait looooooong time to see if we can mine a block.

Just to make sure that you and everybody else know. No humans are involved when a node gets banned. It is in the code that nodes producing error are banned for some time to protect the network.

Maybe my old PC not very stable.

I will fix her on the weekend.

The screenshot here shows the memory usage of the miner w 4 cores.

I built it from spare parts.  It's missing way too many parts.

If you have 4 cores don't run more than 3 miners so the computer have one core for other tasks like running the OS.

DelphiniunCoin is a fork of PascalCoin:

Current version 3.0.1.1 (it needs testing Wink)

Distribution:

https://github.com/DelphiniumCoin/DelphiniumCoin

Thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5043325.msg46479522#msg46479522

Discord:

https://discord.gg/ybQqmRq

DelphiniumCoin now allows you to connect manually to each other's computers via Project->Peer List.

(A blockchain/safebox is also included with the distribution but must be installed manually, once installed this will allow you to run the miner locally if GPU and OpenCL is present).

Once connected to other peers, the safebox with most work done will win ! Smiley

Anybody interested in hosting this software on their computer with either static ip or dns name referring to pc should contact me then your dns can be added to software default settings.

(Or publish your DNS on the thread).

(This software comes in 32 bit and 64 bit versions, with miner ready to go and also some integer calculation fixes Smiley also accounts only expire after 200 years of inactivity.)

So you forked PascalCoin and put your name on it?

I will download it for sure.

DNS or public IP?  My DNS is 8.8.8.8.  Feel free to add it to the software.

I'm running Linux on ARMHF PC.  Snapdragon 801 to be exact.

Update:

It doesn't work.  It shows an icon of a wine glass and when I click on the .EXE it shows what's inside it.
The readme needs to be updated.   Huh Huh

Skybuck go flying.  Where is the source code?

Maybe my computer has a virus.  Anything is possible.  I bought it at the Apple Store.

B-)

For GUI support you will probably have to use Wine on your Ubuntu Linux Smiley

@tlaskows: pretty cool you got it working in Delphi community edition ! Did you install Delphi in windows ? Or did you install it in linux/wine or something ? Cause I've seen you post about linux and such ? Smiley

Yes.  The free edition.  It's good for 1 year.  I use native only, no emulation layers.

Windows 10 Pro for hardcore gaming.

I don't use Linux.  It's not secure and there are no privacy controls in place.

I wiped Delphi.  Beware of non-stop spam (typical save now if you act now).  It requires to log in with your email.
That's ridiculous for a community/free edition.
Use a recyclable e-mail and a fake phone number.

I use Lazarus on Windows/Linux now.  It works much better.

EDIT:  Correction.  The dev is right.  I mined around 1600 coins/80 accounts which would make 5 PASA per block.

The PASAs are not created.  They must be mined.  Not recyclable accounts.

Original reward per block mined was 100 PASC.  Adjustments and provisions were made for the future in the form of PIPs and now those numbers are very different.

Current account count is 1,271,345 as per block explorer.

Please visit the official website to read more about PascalCoin https://www.pascalcoin.org/

Each new block produces 5 PASA (Pascalcoin Account) and (currently) 50 PASC (coins), coins are halved every 210240 (aprox 2 years).
5 PASA per blocks is constant, no halving.

First block was mined on august 11, 2016, with 100 coins per block, and halved on June 2018 to current 50 coins per block.

You can see current coins/accounts status at http://explorer.pascalcoin.org/

Note: this currency does not have an ICO or pre-mine, all coins have been mined fairly.

Best regards

PascalCoin is the first crypto currency without need of historical operations to control double spend and with ORDINAL account numbers. YES! LIKE A BANK!

Why would you send some PASC to an inactive account that no one owns?

1 PASA is all you need to start.  If you have 9000 PASA (for example) then that was the whole point of expiring accounts.  To recycle them to real users.

To answer your question, if you do any op such as sending fraction of PASC to your other PASA, it will keep it active for 10 years.  The devs changed it.

Quote from the official website:

Quote
• Most PASAs in existence have 0 balance

• The average PASC balance across all PASAs is approximately 20 at the moment

• There are more than a million PASA accounts and less than 5% are in use

Some other point to consider regarding the PASA supply:

• There could come a time when the number of new users is rapidly growing; the rate would need to be sustained at one new user per minute for a significant amount of time to exhaust all the existing available and/or empty PASAs.

• A significant number of PascalCoin users are willing to keep their PASC on exchanges and therefore don’t require a PASA.

• If a PASA is inactive for 10 years, it would be recycled and thus help in replenishing the PASA supply.

You can keep it on an exchange  (no wallet/PASA required).  I keep my keys on a piece of paper.
