Hi Zertor, yes I installed the latest version 4.1 and didn't have any previous version installed.
Just in case I uninstalled the wallet and deleted the folder in appdata/roaming, rebooted and reinstalled.
I added your 2 official nodes ; pascalcoin2.dynamic-dns.net resolve to 127.42.0.5:4004 which I already had, and the other one doesn't work.
Of course I accepted to add an entry in the windows 10 firewall, and checked that "pascalcoinwallet" was allowed.

I will wait a few hours again and report back.

I don't know much about Windows anymore, but to me it looks like you are running through a local proxy. IPs in the range 127.0.0.1 - 127.255.255.255 are reserved for private use, so it is not the real PascalCoin nodes. However, it might work through a proxy so perhaps you just have to wait a little else visit us at Discord and ask for help https://discordapp.com/invite/sJqcgtD
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

for the records:
withdraw from poloniex worked well using only the PASA account number on the address and nothing at "payload"
thanks for the support and answers here.

The global Hash rate is down to 7.5 MH/s.

on mining pasc?

Probably yes because of the sharp fall in price on 9th October for PASC.

I saw today that Polo will be de-listing Pascal on Oct 15. It is such a pity as Pascal had a fresh outlook on how coins work. Does the dev team have any plans to stay on Polo or to maintain liquidity post a de-listing?

We will not beg Polo. We will just use other exchanges.

BTW. We will soon release version 5 that includes Atomic Swap so users can exchange directly.

This would be great. I think there is too much emphasis on centralized exchanges even though this is where the most controls are implemented. True that the most volume in my view is on centralized exchanges. However mechanisms that can enable users to exchange coins and tokens in other ways is probably the methods that will survive in the long term. It is also true that if governments have to support crypto in some way, they will support centralized exchanges where controls can be implemented. So if coins and tokens want to obtain some kind of government approval, then they will have to be on centralized exchanges as well.

Decentralized exchange opportunities are very important. Atomic swap is a solution, but I hope we can find faster and more easy solutions so DEX-trading becomes more like trading on a centralized exchange.

@Dev @nighraven

I got lucky.  Did my last withdrawal - not a withdrawal specifically (I exchanged for small amount of BCH and ETH to use with Origin Protocol)  just a day or two before Polo stopped working.

I always (99% of the time use a local wallet).

Q:  Is there a reason why the global nethash has been at an all time low (for several days)?

I am wondering how long before HF (beta 3) v5.

I shutdown my 3 Linux servers to take them of off the open mining pool.  There some glitches with the network that are difficult to explain.

One of the 'glitches' - auto update to mobile Blaise v1.0.3 locked the wallet and I was unable to open the app.

Thx.

Sorry, I don't know much about mining. If the nethash has gone down I guess it is because it is lesser profitable than before to mine so someone find other coins to mine.

Right now we test V5 beta 4 (new blockchain) I think the HF will be around christmass.

Thank you for the info.  Any information is useful.

Sometime the "current" network appears to make mistakes.  My computers auto disconnect randomly, hashrate is soetimes higher than what it should be - possibly because of the nethas...etc.

Those are my personal observation and if thy do not belong in this tread I can edit delete them later.

I have not had the time to try out v5 beta 4.  I will attempt to run it from source code - I'm on Linux.

With v3 the dns servers kept banning my IP.

Thanks.

Go go go!

I do apologize in advance if this seems like a dumb question.

I use Kali.  Kernel v5.2 possbily 5.3.  Lazarus v. 2.x

Will the binaries works at desired performance (targeted Ubuntu? which I had to avoid due to security and privacy issues)

I will try to answer my own question.  Compiled from source to see if there are any possible issues.

Thx.

I compile and run under  Linux Mint 19.2 based on Ubuntu 18.04. I have a few minor issues but that is perhaps because I optimize to much for size.

@dev
@nightraven

I ran the testnet 4 solo (offline) for 2 days straight.

Benchmark mostly.  My IP got banned on a live net.

Kali kernel 5.3.  Old Xeon E5-2690V3  ES w 23 'light' threads of the miner (35kh/s).

Close to 7000 blocks from scratch.

It went through protocols from v1 to v5.

Nothing running besides walletd and miner.  I usually use text mode.  Less overhead with the GDM nvidia xserver down.

I will try again on live testnet.

Cheers.

On an X86/AMD64 or Tegra X1?

Just asking.  There is a developer image but flashing using ADB from Windows is tricky.

I have no idea if it's Windows for ARM, Android for ARM or Linux.

Copy and paste from official site.  No URL.
