This depends on the timeframe you're looking a chart!
Long term is bullish and solid.On weekly chart the actual movement seems just to be a correction in a upwards trend.
The same on the daily.
So the question of Bitcoin doing well or not may depend on the strategy you're having.
If you're long there's nothing you should be worried about.But if you're in for short things might have looked different for you the last few weeks.

Exactly, bitcoin is taking rest at a moment, and price is stable around $575 since long time, but it doesn't mean it will stay there forever, it will start moving up as we get closer to the end of the year.

it's funny how people are talking about the price to reach higher levels without knowing what is needed to realize such growth. even keeping the price at current levels requires effort. it's far from east to keep the price around the current levels for weeks, maybe months. that's something people don't realize.

I honestly don't know why people are complaining and expecting a boost. Haven't you all forgot already that weeks before the halving bitcoin price oscillated around $440?
Now it is sitting at stable $~570, you want even more? If not by halving we would be back to $300 after that Bitfinex hack, be happy with what we have now.

Thats right, people are keep complaining about  the current price of bitcoin, for me its still okay  which is stabilize itself after the bitfinex hack incident. Luckily we didnt even experience to dropped below -$500, we still lucky to see the price of bitcoin as of today. Have patience maybe bitcoin is just resting for a bit  preparing  for a pump i guess.

Everyone indeed complained about it, but I think it does not have an effect on the price of the bitcoin. Reasons that affect the price of the bitcoin is market demand and also the growth of the bitcoin, if we do not do a way to create market demand and growth of the bitcoin's getting high. Then all the waffle and our actions will have no benefit

They keep complaining on the current price of bitcoin, $500+ mark isnt bad at all and this price is high compare to previous years even the price is  somewhat stable for now i know that bitcoin is up to  prepare to a  high price pump i guess which most of  us are  hoping  for that time would come so that we would gain some decent profits with it.

yes, of course people have the right to talk about till what level the price might go up, but they think that it can happen just like that. they don't realize that in order to see the price go up, we must have money coming in to fight against the massive selling pressure. that just to keep the price at the level where it is right now. in order to get the price to increase, there must be even more money being put to work.

Your true friends, but I think all the price is constantly changing until whenever this will not have a good effect if we cannot utilise the bitcoin with a good way. bitcoin will definitely increase and certainly will also decline, it could make a profit if we can do well and not in a hurry

True, bitcoin sudden price drops are  just an oppurtunity to others especially into those  traders out there because of this circumstances  they could actually bought a cheaper bitcoin which is good for doing  long or short trades since as we all know that bitcoins price is too volatile even  a movement of price would  be a profit or negative profit.

do you think 2016 was a bad year for bitcoin? I don't think so. what was bitcoin price in 2015? only 300$.. in 2016 it reached to 890$. I know it dropped again. but not that much..
and why you are forgetting in 2016 lots of other things happened with bitcoin. thousands of new people started using bitcoin, lots of sites started accepting payment in bitcoin..
I hope 2017 also will be a good year for bitcoin. but 2016 was not bad at all.

$400 per BTC is a really good price! That's a bargain! How I wish it will go back down to that price so I could buy more for a cheaper price. There is a difference when a person in altcoins is saying that compared to a person who wants to hold only BTC. That's because bitcoins have become so valuable that a fall in price is considered a good opportunity.
