PLEASE STOP MINING ON THAT POOL FOR NOW. THERE'S AN ISSUE WITH IT.  INFO TO FOLLOW IN THE MORNING.

Just talked to Monero Dev team guys, they were very helpful.

BipCoin isn't hosed, but pool-mined coins mined through that guy's pool after about 18 hours ago might not be good. There's been a split.

there's only one split right ? coz the correct chain is at block 4153 right now ?

yeah, if you mine on that pool you won't get any coins on the real blockchain.

Exactly, pwpwpw.

Us people who were in on this at the beginning, way back when (Sunday, lol) are taking OUR blockchain back!

That pool is what, 50 blocks ahead? Crazy.

Yes. And I'm going to start solo mining.

This was actually working when we were solo mining. Monero guys said they didn't have a pool for a long time at first. I think solo makes more sense, especially so all my noob friends can mine some Bip! They all want to, and some were doing so until the pool.

I am solo mining but I get this blockchain sync issue like every 5-10seconds, it reorganizes from block 4114 to 4154 over and over again, it affects the hashrate a lot because every time it does this, it drops to 50 from 95 and has no time to go back to 95 coz it happends again in  5seconds. Does this happen to everyone ?

yeah. I think it should taper off some hours after either he shuts down his broken pool, or people stop using it.

gonna have a dev team meeting tomorrow and figure out. But as soon as I see that guy pop up his head I'm going to ask him to take the pool offline. He's also going to be responsible for some lost coin. Don't know if he has it or if people will demand it, I need to sleep then figure out how much it is, etc.

thank you all SO much for your patience.

Glad to see we have a course of action and decided on which branch to follow.

I'll direct some hashing power to the network as well

Someone just coined a new term for not getting paid by a BipCoin pool, "bipped off!" lol:

Can I Mine it on my Laptop ??

Specs :

Core i3-5005U 5th gen
4 GB Ram.
intel HD 4400 Graphics
Windows 10 64 bit.
1 TB hard disk 5400 RPM.

I'm mining now with a similar rig. But you should prop it up on blocks and put a fan blowing air under and over it so you don't burn it up. Check from time to time to make sure it's not hot to the touch.

Well Then its better to stay away currently from Mining

I wouldn't mine with a laptop unless you have some spacer on the bottom and good dual fans inside. For a desktop i5 2500k mining is nothing, 56C after 24h mining both with cpu and gpu (another coin), even watching browser/movies in the meantime.

BipCoin SURVIVES ROCKY NIGHT

We received a big start and that is good and bad.  When a coin is new, the hash rate can fluctuate rapidly and cause disruptions.   As the coin grows these dramatic changes in hash rate wont be so dramatic.

For now, we recommend solo mining, and getting your friends to do solo mining. Especially if they have a lot of hashing power, but even if they don't. We will report when we change that recommendation.

Sorry for the uncertainty overnight.  Thank you for your support.

BipCoin continues. And keep your eyes out for a big announcement within 2 hours.

already at 2604 block height  Shocked

1/10th of one percent of total coins premined. If you know of a smaller premine, let me know.

Since I was a "smart ass" for saying bitcoin, Potcoin had .005%, and Monero had no pre-mine.

A lot of coins had no premine. But I do conceded that Potcoin wins. I still say that our premine was so small it does not carry the yuck factor that the word "premine" usualy has.

Thank you. lol.

We have no block explorer yet though. Isn't that a requirement for Poloniex? We meet all their other criteria, but have only been up for 3 days.

Just put out the Windows GUI wallet today. Block explorer is high on our list of to-dos. But I contacted the CryptoNote block exchange,  http://chainradar.com yesterday, still waiting to hear back. I think they'll add it, them seem to have every CryptoNote-derived coin.

If they don't add BipCoin, we'll make our own block explorer.

Not quite sure what this post is saying. Can you please elaborate? I know I typed "block exchange" instead of "block explorer" in one place, I was very tired. I've now corrected that.

Now I've napped, feel great, and focused and this post makes no sense.
