I'm mining now with a similar rig. But you should prop it up on blocks and put a fan blowing air under and over it so you don't burn it up. Check from time to time to make sure it's not hot to the touch.

no. And you can get a used 64-bit Windows machine used for under 100 bucks. Maybe 50 on eBay.
Not just for this. It's useful for a lot of things.

so it looses connection but I keep seeing hashrate afterwards, is that just a sudden connection lost and reconnect then? coz print_cn shows a bunch of connections

It's not a virus. A lot of things that can mine cryptos are flagged as "potentially unsafe" because the file is new, the anti-vir hasn't encountered it yet (or much) and there are viruses that mine Bitcoin.

Malwarebytes search was Ok looks clean
