You'd be surprised at how many will say "yes".
Accepting Bitcoin is so easy and basically free that you must be an idiot to not accept it. All merchants ever don't accepting Bitcoin are just ignorant about it. They are losing on a potential economy that they don't even know to exist. I think most of them who have heard about it are waiting for a "snowball effect" to ensue. Possibilities are always their since bitcoins have wide market since bitcoin have many users globally and i dont really doubt if they will accept bitcoin because it can make their service fast, secured and less fee unlike the current processor they are accepting now but i think they are in studying phase for now since bitcoins are not really stable and in other hand surely they will try to look up for it since steam already accepts it as their mode of payment.
As tittle says will amazon accept bitcoins in the future?
I have some theory. It is all about that all shops after some time will pass, will have to accept btc payments, because btc will get so well known-and widely used they will just have to do this Possibilities are always their since bitcoins have wide market since bitcoin have many users globally and i dont really doubt if they will accept bitcoin because it can make their service fast, secured and less fee unlike the current processor they are accepting now but i think they are in studying phase for now since bitcoins are not really stable and in other hand surely they will try to look up for it since steam already accepts it as their mode of payment, And if amazon or ebay will really accept bitcoins well it can be a breakthrough listed on bitcoin history. If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.
both are equally great . I would take gold though cause it looks like a safer investment than bitcoin. With the rising inflation , gold will profit me without risks and is predictable. Meanwhile bitcoin seems like a great investment and might provide a promising future , I'd play it safe if the deal is for 10 years. and secondly, it might be happened in near future that May bitcoin collapsed, or banned by gov due to some reason, So surely I will go for the Gold, Because i cant believe in the sustainability of the BTC. No doubt btc is more volatile than Gold, but its not safer than gold. and secondly, it might be happened in near future that May bitcoin collapsed, or banned by gov due to some reason, So surely I will go for the Gold, Because i cant believe in the sustainability of the BTC. I would take both too . But if I HAD to choose one, I would choose for gold nevertheless. The reason is gold is safer and less riskier and the rising prices of inflation has compelled me to pick gold out of the two. Bitcoin is a great option too. But I'd rather take gold.

Just spotted that in a thread I was responding in so I decided to throw it in here for a quick reference. It seems to me this is a failed quote from someone who doesn't speak English. The rest of the post history though points at the typical Indonesian spammer and account farmer.

How does this sound? Originally a farmed account. As such, this account (UID) *may*have* been bought and sold a number of times. You should do due diligence if considering trading as it may not be with the same person you previously did business with.
(Optionally)This trust is permanent and will not be removed. Additionally, if there's no scam accusation, trust is Neutral. If there is a scam accusation, or the account is already in the red, then the above trust gets Red Paint TM coating.

Sounds good to me, and I've added a line to explain why a farmed account is a bad account in the first place.

Sorry I have been slow to respond here. (i am not well versed in the trust system) Can i suggest waiting/discuss a few more days/a week to see if the "banned" tag is implemented. Also can we get staff/DT involved, or at least confirm that they do not want to be involved. I've banned a few thus far (couple hundred total).
Bearing that in mind, is there any point spending time on those, if there really are hundreds of them? (i am struggling to find evidence of that) My thoughts on this, All farmed accounts should be rated the same. If an account has other accusations against it, that should be a separate trust issue. Trust for "farmed" should never need changing, other trust may. A standard rating (copy paste) should be used, for ease of application and even handedness and to de-personalise. A systemic approach must be taken, ie, start at the beginning of the 500+ list, or a month at a time, or "alphabet" lists... An ad hoc or variable rating approach will be more personal. Is neutral "red"? (idk) If not, i think it maybe a bit lame, will not show and be ignored? I would think the minimum red would be the correct trust. (is that -1?) (1) Originally a farmed account. (2) Farmed means one user creates a lot of accounts and spams the forum to level up. As such, this account (UID) *may*have* been bought and sold a number of times. You should do due diligence if considering trading as it may not be with the same person you previously did business with. 1. Once farmed, always farmed. 2. a bit specific, slightly wrong. I told hilarious that was not the case, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1597201.msg16650103#msg16650103If you add "reasons" they will be individually argued against. (you must have seen how "spam" is not even definable - see Daisy14 thread!) Maybe just keep it simple. "-1. This account is farmed - ref - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1670807.0 " There are hundreds more accounts to be added to the 500+ list - Russian and Chinese farmed accounts mostly. (as we are now seeing the first effects of in "know alts" thread and "Wings spammers" thread) Your accounts will be negged to hell in retaliation? Hence "can we get staff/DT involved, or at least confirm that they do not want to be involved."

It's allowed as soon as you respect the rules and do not abuse of it. For example, I've got my secondary account both as a backup option in case I'm out somewhere and I have to use a public computer, and as a second earning account. I thought of creating a third account too, but that's starting to be called an abuse which I don't want it to be.
