I think that betting 5% of your bankroll in a gambling session is being referred to the betting on sports. I cannot see how this can be applied to casinos. If you do this thing on games of chances like a casino you can see where this will end up based on Kelly Criterion. Read more here:

Something that just crossed my mind while reading in depth the Kelly Criterion we can try this strategy on Over and Under goals which is a bet with only 2 possibilities , win or lose. I am not much of a gambler so I haven't got to this in detail but I hope someone does for the benefit of all of the sports loving bettors.

I really think that is the way to go. We keep encouraging that in our Tipster Championship, by limiting the max bet to 5% of current bankroll.
You can see by our leaderboard, that even betting a max of 5% of current bankroll, our top7 players still manage to create a very decent ROI% at the end of the month.

5% of your bankroll is a very good amount to try at least in soccer games now that all the major championships in Europe are underway and have just started. Do not think that 5% is a small amount its a really decent one and an example is if you have a really low bankroll 0.10 BTC that is 0.005 btc per bet and this is for the lowest bankroll of a gambler. Real gamblers bankrolls start at 1000 dollars or 1.5-2.5 BTC and 5% of such stake is from 0.075 btc to 0.125 btc per bet. The real challenge is trying to make this bankroll larger in the longer run.

It should really be 2% each bet. That's a little more conservative. Using percentage takes more calculation but keeps you in the game longer. When you have hot runs your betting amount increases and when you have bad runs it decreases

The goal is to probably not be in the game longer, but profit from them. 2% is too low to start. 5-10% is probably the best for sportsbetting to keep the profits active. With 2%, you hardly make any progress in the short term and takes away the gambling fun.

Then how long would it take you to get any amount. And you will lose guaranteed so the amount that you win with such small amounts will disappear fast.

I tried this last night and eventually lost it all because the gains were insignificant enough to keep playing like this.
Just waste of time if you ask me to do it this way.

Experts say that you should never wager more than 3% of your
bankroll on any given bet.

5% is still a good start for people that have problems betting to much of
their bankroll on one single game/action.

I see many comments that 5% it too low/high. And tha Op should change it to 2%, 10% or any other number.
But how exactly you guys deciding that if still don't know how much exactly this 5% is? As far as I know Op didn't tell us the most important fact.

5% is still lots. 5/10/20/40 if you keeping going martingale you only get 4 rolls.
I normally do 1% I sometimes mix it up and do more after losing or if I have a good feelings.
