I am considering to invest into a pure privacy coin for the first time. Currently I prefer Komodo over Monero but I am not sure if Komodo is really a privacy coin. I know it allows to create Z-addresses so that private transactions are possible. Are those transactions really untraceable?
zksnarks technology is pretty sweet (inherited from ZEC) but KMD adds an additional layer of privacy with JUMBLR (basically takes a T-address to Z, Z-to-Z, and then Z back to T). That's not to say you couldn't already do this yourself but it is already layered into the wallet.

I think the sleeping giant for 2018 though, is KomodoPlatform.

We now have a new KMD based chain called VRSC. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4070404.0it uses a custom mining that is currently CPU only, but the hash rate is crazy high. It is 50% PoS, 50% PoW but likely you wont be able to find any blocks due to the GH. Its hash algo is quite unique and CPU get a few MH. It just came out a few days ago, but they have made some interesting assetchain extensions that will benefit the ecosystem. Many new -ac parameters. It is nice to see a real project adopt KMD and start to extend it!

To be more precise, kmd is just one of the giants. There are many ico's ended last year. Many of them preparing for launch their services this year. Rally is coming:)

That's not to say you couldn't already do this yourself but it is already layered into the wallet. KMD is the most advanced privacy coin in the crypto space, not only does it use the best tech with zksnarks, but with JUMBLR there is an additional layer, plus you can use BarterDEX for trading that avoids any centralised exchange kyc, so you can trade anonymously too. There isn't much point to anon tech if you hand over your passport selfie when you want to trade your anon coins! I have always been a fan of XMR but unless they get listed on some decentralised exchanges soon the usability of monero will rapidly decline as more centralised exchanges ban anon coins.

So far I am really impressed on how dICO works and going through with the two launching dApp namely, BlocNation and Utrum. Now that I am familiar with the steps and interface it is much easier for me to participate future dICO and I had 2 already in my mind.

The dApp is pretty easy once you do it once. Just matter of time people will use it. Definitely not a big fan of KYC.

Hello Komodo believers, Our aim is to add value to the whole crypto community by giving the best user experience to analyse cryptocurrencies. It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful interface of Komodo at: https://cointopper.com/coin/komodoConstructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper. Thank you!!

Glancing at the slides being presented at Hague by the Komodo team , I have noticed that one of the future features making up the version 2 is interoperability. Meaning it will soon be able to communicate and have transactions with ... say ethereum via blockchain to blockchain transactions. To me this is like the Internet .

I was taking a look at the tech roadmap: https://komodoplatform.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Tech-Roadmap.png. Komodo smart contracts are only mentioned around the tag Beyond 2019. Does that mean there won't be work done on them before that? If so, can you share the reasons behind developing this after DEXes, a crowdfunding platform and a new BarterDEX GUI engine? Thank you.

The roadmap builds in time to debug and iterate

"each and every attempt" was fully disclosed (including one that you closed in the git and even refused acknowledging the problem existed). "each and every attempt" has been met with a slew of bullshit and deleted comments prior to the "attempt". "each and every attempt" was as feken overt as humanly possible.
It NOt fair cause Computgenie gets post killed on safecoin . I fix. now it can't get deleted. Computgenie and j777 did such great job hacking Safecoin togeher. HODL KMD Now we can keep the posts

I merely asked about a precision concerning the roadmap. we are working hard on this and are starting the testing of the initial version now.

HODL KMD Now we can keep the posts if you believe I have any time to spend in unSAFE, you are clearly misguided. Once it is become clear they are not using notaries, not using dPoW, has no active user rewards, etc. It is just another PoW coin with a 10% premine. Why would i care what happens to such a coin

Glad to hear that and thank you for the info. Your hard work is always much appreciated. its already almost June... We are making good progress and actually did not expect to be this far along so soon. This might have the effect of making the roadmap inaccurate, but that is not really my concern. And realistically it could easily take another 6 months or more to get all the issues fixed, which would make the roadmap accurate.
