did they decided if they will fork the algorithm to keep it asic-resistant or not?
Not forking
correct, because Komodo devs are smart enough to understand that
a) there's no need because of dPoW, and
b) increasing RAMM requirements does not "resistance" make.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

correct ..and this business of asic making is very very profitable so if an algo/coin is indeed powerful they will eventually still make it. and from the point of view of the developer of the coin is disastrous to not have a continuity of your idea/platform. some businesses may want to develop something on your coin but if they see a change every time an asic player stepps in they will eventually drop it. not forking is the best way to handle this.

marketing ideology memorized patterns. kmd is one of the best products I see. The creator of kmd, or the marketing team, did not fully understand the value. cultivating is something different. The most successful product marketed in the world is Christianity. there is a cross that everyone touched. This is objectification. people need to touch the sight. This is the cult ... with all the signs from Paganism.

Zcash dev holds Zcashco hostage by threatening to fork leading up to the overwinter release because they didnt pay him/her enough to maintain the the zcash wallet.

He/She mentions in the article that his/her builds were used by most if not all zcash implementations including komodo, they go on to mention that Komodo paid them more than any other altcoin for the work done.

The developer must be independent, not exclusive to any coin...think it says something about Komodo core team reimbursing more to valuable developer work. But I am curious komodo's opinion on this article and forum post.

Original forum post threatening the fork if not paid more:
https://forum.z.cash/t/winzec-zcash4win-mac-overwinter-and-sapling-an-uncertain-future/29769

Coindesk article talking about it:
https://www.coindesk.com/zcash-pays-off-angry-developer-avoid-blockchain-split/
the articles are quite skewed. zcashco takes 20% of all the mined coins but the dev that created the windows versions wasnt paid in quite a long time. A whopping 80 ZEC was raised after the issue was raised.

Now compare 20% of all coins mined so far, vs. 80 paid to the dev who made it work on windows. It seems windows compatibility isnt that important for ZEC.

On the scale of things, what is more important than the windows wallet? 80 ZEC?

About 5% of what they get in 1 day (if I counted right)  Undecided

about 1 hours worth of founder's reward.
makes sense

and the articles are portraying the dev as the bad guy and 80 ZEC as overwhelming community support

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone dumping their bags at a loss because they have an issue with 1 GUI out of the dozens of platform projects; I promise that when the market goes back up, I'll spend the profits you're giving up on so many nice things for myself.  Cool

Yup, I will second that.

The problem of commercializing Komodo is to be the most open and transparent ecosystem of cryptoland. We see the progress every day and minute by minute, message by message and we do not give importance to it. work something more in the shadows and make a great event with a lot of spectacle for the stupid to buy.

Is anyone besides me experiencing problems with the Agama wallet? In lite mode the wallet fails to connect
to a SPV server. Changing the server manually doesn't solve the problem either.

I have no doubt BarterDEX  will play a major role in the crypto-environment. Of course there is no easy way as  Komodo is in the middle of the way of centralized exchanges that  make millions on us.

The agama wallet is very secure as long as you got your seed and back up your wallet.dat if I am saying that correctly, than nothing can really happen.

New Agama Update released V0.2.41

This is the version that I just downloaded . It is smooth and runs without connection problem on SPV servers. Unlike the previous version where I can't connect using SPV (electrum) mode.

I had the same problem. I'm downloading the latest version right now. Now I can finally
claim my interest.

AN Excellent PDF document that gives an introduction to KMD. Share it with businesses and people who are interested in us and what we can do.

Komodo can provide a native blockchain for anyone. With our solution, they can host their blockchain infrastructure and get access to all our innovations.
