Hello Guys, I would like to know you're understanding about online gambling and real life gambling. Since here in the philippines online gambling is now illegal. I'm just curious what's the difference about this too. Why make online gambling illegal?

Online gambling is illegal because many of the transactions are anonymous therefore the government cannot trace who is profiting from it and to whom they should get their share. So if they can't get their share then might as well make it restricted so that other people will shift their focus in doing transactions that they have jurisdiction and in doing so they also get a profit from it. In real gambling like in casinos, they are registered so the government has a cut from it that's why they would prefer the real life rather than online.

Also it's easier to stop any time when you are online than when you are in a real casino where everything and everybody around are making you to bet more and more. There are casinos in real life where you can't even enter the place without buying a token worth $50. Online, on the other hand, you can enter having nothing and play from the faucet.

Any form of gambling whether online or not is illegal depends on country's jurisdiction. Online is much worst because you cant personally see who is betting where even a young kid can do without notice by the Guardian. And also many scams can happen online.

yes it is a fact that the legality of gambling is depending on the rules and policies of a country, but i think online gambling is too easy, you do not need to go to a casino or some where else, and the second thing is that it does not matter that with whom you are gambling because gambling is mostly depend on luck and if you are a luck person then you can beat any one in gambling. the third thing is there all online casinos are not scam there are so many trusted gambling sites where you can play gambling without any fear.

As far as I know gambling is completely banned or not at all in different countries of the world. This is strange decision taken by authorities that they let land casinos or gambling legal and banned online gambling. They will win nothing as they can not control everything what is happening online but will loose more. It was good to bring online gambling in tax network to increase revenue instead of isolating it from normal gambling  activities.

Lemao of course here in our country gambling is illegal where Mr. President Duterte wants to end the online gambling , and some real life gambling are legal because like casinos in Resort World manila if you know that place then you are awesome the difference online and real gambling is in real gambling it takes more thrill and you need to become serious and in online gambling you don't see your oponent.

Not only in Philippines but many other countries also banned online gambling, So if you want access these online gambling sites then only option is using VPN or proxy ip's.

In India also all kinds of gambling is banned but still people access these online gambling sites using proxies but most of the new sites you can access without any proxy.

Gambling will be always with profit and loss, and both options having their own benefits and negative points. In online Gambling you dont have to wait for the rates to bet on any market, which ever market is available you can bet at any time, before and after match also. It is upto the site whether they are giving live bets or not. But if you are not online then you cannot bet or you cannot rebet in live games if their is any power problem or internet problem.

Real Gambling with local bookies is we have to wait for him to give us the odd to bet, if he is not able to contact then what ever the bet are will be same but you cannot make more bets. And what ever the local bookies give the odd on that odd only you have to bet whether it is fair or not.

But in online gambling you can not see their is many young people being addicted into it and almost of them are students so they try to ban it. Illegal because many getting addicted into it. Online gambling is no fun at all. At least you see some real girls when you play in real casinos. Online sucks. I only gamble online when i knew i am going to win %100. That's why i buy my stocks online, or make my trades online.

Whatever you do, do not use VPN or proxies to access gambling site if they are illegal in your country.  The site could lock your account and freeze your funds.  It would be better to stay away from online gambling completely than risk losing your money.

As someone said in an earlier post, it's not to protect citizens at all. The reason why governments make online gambling illegal is because they want their cut, which comes in the form of taxes from the player and licencing and operation fees for the online gambling provider.

Indeed, they want to tax on everything, including gambling. This is one of the reasons bitcoin will be huge, its the only way to gamble fast and anywhere in the world without permission.
