If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin?

It depends how he reveals himself.  He could reveal himself by moving his 1 million btc after BU/Core fork.  Imagine 1,000,000 bitcoin flowing from those early mining addresses... spreading out to bitfinex, bitstamp, btc-e, kraken, coinbase, gemini.  People watching in amazement wondering what is going on, as over the course of around 10 minutes, 5-10% of all bitcoins move to exchange accounts.  Each exchange would probably by then be listing both BU and Core btc, so Satoshi could send both or just one.  So, if it's just BU moving, people might anticipate that Satoshi was going to dump BU on the exchanges. Panic would ensue, and we'd see massive selling across all markets.  That would be even before Satoshi sold a single BU btc.  Then, within around 20 min of the initial transactions, we'd see the Satoshi dumps -- and then BU markets would be obliterated all over the world. 

Of course, that's an unlikely scenario, but I think the odds of it happening are a little better than most people think

I'm sure that if satoshi decides to come up with some ideas, majority of people would agree with him and could make this current debate which has bring tension among bitcoin users come to an end.

Basically. But the bitcoin community actually supports him pretending to be "Nakamoto" because it is a good distraction.

And if you spend more than a half hour researching it, it is pretty clear who the main Nakamoto was. He's the one who deleted the web pages back when bitcoin was released talking about it. Unfortunately, you can't delete history completely once published to the interwebs.

I think there will be just a lot of paparazzis, cameras, news, posts, articles, allegations, riots, and celebrations. Many users will be in awe, knowing who discovered bitcoin, amd I think the government will never make a move on him, he didn't do anything wrong? You bet. This BTU is really a problem to bitcoin, right now, we are experiencing a huge price drop which might not happen if this BTU didn't appear in the first place. But Satoshi Nakamoto could do something about this without revealing himself, but the question is, Do Satoshi Nakamoto still care about his bitcoin? because if he still do, he would do something about this, bitcoin should not suffer just because a certain copy cat coin appear out of nowhere because of this bitcoin unlimited.

First, I don't think that Satoshi will ever reveal himself.
Finance and money is very sensitive issue today and bitcoin is in ''grey' zone, without clear regulation.
If any government, specially US government, find out who is behind bitcoin, I'm sure that Satoshi will have serious legal problem.
Also, media pressure will be to high, for him and his family, I'm sure.
He have very good reasons to stay behind.
After all, at this stage, bitcoin doing just fine even without creator.
Even if Satoshi show up, nothing special will change with bitcoin.

Bitcoin has already been created and exists, so nothing the appearance of Nakamoto will change. Although if you take into account that he is the creator, he could assume such a development of bitcoin, and hence he can be a very large bitcoin holder with a lot. And this is a good opportunity to influence the course of bitcoins.

It will be great if satoshi really show up and speak his mind about this new debates, this debate seems like making bitcoin price becomes drop, I can see now there are a lot of confusion happened because of the fork issue, so if satoshi show up and gives solution it will be great

Even me, I'm having hard time to understand these people and very confused on what is happening. Let's see if Satoshi is going to show up himself and will introduce what should be the best thing about this matters. If he reveals himself on this situation that will be a big relief to all of us but in other cases, nothing will happen if he do.

Yes i will agree to you, it would be very interesting topic. Well in my opinion if real Satoshi reveals himself and proves that he created bitcoin, of course i would be very happy finally revealing himself. Even im not that long joining here in bitcoin, i dream to meet the creator of bitcoin or just even reveals himself. Yes it will stay as what bitcoin is. Then i think government wouldn't do that, they have no reason to put Satoshi in jail, its just my opinion then.

Satoshi is the inventor of bitcoin together with his team. And no one really knows if that his real name "Satoshi Nakamoto". Actually you can simply google it out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satoshi_Nakamoto so without this man, no bitcoin will exist and as well those supporting projects that are bitcoin inspired.

I can't figure out why satoshi is still a mystery. At least his friends or family member should know about this invention then why they don't reveal the secret what's the use of keeping it secret. They might think that if they reveal the truth they might be arrested by police because it's a public property which affects paper currency. But if he reveals the truth then he might face some problems that why he is not cunning up. It's my opinion.

I think best reason for satoshi not showing in the public is maybe of his/her families security.Being an developer of an decentralized and leading cryptocurrency now can bring you much harm if you exposed your self.As the main developer he must own huge amount of his coins and many people will have interest stealing it

A what could Satoshi do about it? Would reay revealing his identity changed something? I don't think so. He is not some miraculous saviour and Bitcoin and its users have fight for themselves and try to find the best solution. But still I don't find this situation so bad and black and I beleive Bitcoin will come through this stronger then ever before.

Profits always trump prophets

So it is highly unlikely that anyone and still less so miners would listen to him. The majority of folks in Bitcoin are there for profits only, and as the proverb goes, when money talks everything else walks. As to me, if he made public appearance now and had his say on the issue, that would only rise further confusion and infighting between miners and developers from one side and the same folks from the other. If he supported Bitcoin Core, Bitcoin Unlimited would start claiming that the current situation is primarily due to his design flaws. Conversely, if he voiced his support for them, they would quickly start claiming that even the Bitcoin creator himself accepts the "truth"

This will be an advanced course that is extraordinary news. people will know who the creator of bitcoin. I think if satoshi is a trusted person bitcoin then the price will increase. while when satoshi is a person who has a bad image, then the price will decline. there will be negative and the positive impact that can not be avoided.

I am really not sure on the impact of bitcoin price if Satoshi revels himself in the public. But I’m sure he will immediately become the most wanted person and enforcements agencies will try to put him in jail. Because Satoshi has violated one big rule and allowed normal people to have financial freedom which no government will alllow their citizens to have.

Government want to have the power to control the wealth of its citizen and bitcoin actually allowed the people to earn money without the control of the government.
