When I was new, I started trading with altcoins and I do not make enough research as I only follow the rules which is to buy low and sell high. Now, I realize that this crypto trading requires me to be updated of the news of a specific asset I am trading, truly you will mature eventually.

Sometimes a new update from developer of the following altcoins really matter to what happen to the price in the future so that's why keeping you updated into the latest news would be an additional point to make your trading success but without it you can still make a profit by being aware with the circumstances and got some ton of luckyness

In trading field luck is indeed needed as you said if you are aware on the circumstances then you might get good profits on it but as a trader you should really train or learn yourself into the important things should be considered on doing trading not only fully relying on those informations that you heard somewhere.Having research would really a big help most of the time.

Okay let me tell you my bad experience in the past. Some months ago i am trading and have opportunity to get a profit with few coin in exchanger. After that i see that ethereum is huge balance it means many people invest their money into it, i bought eth with almost all of my btc and wait the price goes up but suddenly 3 or 4 days after that the price goes down deeply more than 50 % . I shocked and i keep believe  that the price is growing up again soon. This is my fault. The correct actions I should sell my balance as soon as possible while saw the price down. It is called cutloss in trading.

Yeah actually when you usually see a sudden price decrease like 50% then it will better to sell at least 25% coins you are holding with yourself. While sell 25% once the actual price is reached and the rest 50% keep if the coin live up to expectations. Also you may buy back when you bet better prices.

It doesn't work with altcoins apart from those that have been around for quite some time. If an altcoin is being dumped, it usually ends up at 1 satoshi with no chance of revival. Some don't even survive their ICO and get dumped right at the start. You can see many of such failed shitcoins at altcoin exchanges until they eventually get abandoned, delisted, and soon completely forgotten.

Sometimes investing in a unknown entity is also useful mate though, like I invested in dogecoins at the very initial phase and made some huge profits trust me while the only reason I bought those coins was because I liked the name of the coin, now you see.

But this will not work out for all the times, I agree. (please make investments at your own analysis. I am not suggesting to do anything, just sharing my experience).

For you this investment we can say good luck because its happen to me also I invest in a coin some time ago but its drop very quickly and I lost some good amount which I never recover because its never come again on good note same happen to ETH as its was on good rate I invest some amount but its came down very quickly but I saved myself from loss

Yeah, that's what I said above as well.

I simply do not believe in investing in anything that has no future, or if you're simply in it to ride the pump when the other players in the market buy in becasue it is difficult to judge when to cash out and take your earnings.

Trading premined coins never ends well. Trading altcoins that don't have a verified developer bdoesn't end well either.

i make mistake in quickly selling altcoin because in just less than 5 minutes, the price is going to the moon and if i am not selling my altcoin stock, i can reach 300% profit for just one night but i never regret it and i think my profit is just on the low rate. for tomorrow, i hope i can be patient for a while and not panic to selling my altcoin.

where in the same page experience pal, I also encountered that also, I became impatient to wait to make the price high and I didn't expect that in an hour only it increase 500% and that was my regrettable and very pity experienced.

My biggest mistake in trading is I did it such as gambling. I do not now anything about what is influence the price of bitcoin. So I just think that I can get profit then I just lost some of my coin.

My biggest mistake in trading is I did it such as gambling. I do not now anything about what is influence the price of bitcoin. So I just think that I can get profit then I just lost some of my coin.

That is a big no no. Never do it again or else it could lead to addiction and worst case is you will lost everything bitcoin and your money.
One of the mistakes also is overtrading because it turns to the point where profits turn into significant losses for example you just trade and trade without learning what you are trading of.

At first, i bought altcoins which were in high price expecting price to rise more, but sold in panic when the price started to fall.Thus lost lots of my investment. Always buy when price is getting reduced and sell when price is increasing.Dont be much greed and set goals of getting 5 %, 10 % or 15% profit. Better invest in altcoins which is in the market for atleast 2 years. If you have to invest in a newly released coin, read its ANN thread thoroughly and do clear research about it.

In everything that was said here by traders I think the biggest mistake that you can do in trading is if you don't learn from your mistakes, when at first you knew it was not right but then you are doomed to make them again and again. Anyway, we are not perfect. I suggest to usually after year end to review your trades and look at what went right and failed.

Opportunities that pass by don't equal loss of money. It's like walking past somebody without talking and this person could later become your friend and even save your life. You never know, so you shouldn't worry about the things you have no control over.

I've lost a good sum with panic selling and panic buying, really newbie mistakes, and looking back I actually did good choices when selling...

I've also lost by not doing proper research before invest, although very small sum.

Same thing happen to me, i bought about 70+ ETH when it was yet 0.009 btc I was thinking it will be going back to 0.01 before the week ends but it soon go down to 0.008. I check its thread and someone fud around, I panic and sold it.  Later did I know its price goes back to 0.011.  I was affected by how fast it plummet down to 0.008. Investing in crypto coin is really worth it if you believe on that certain coin that it will give you profit. Most of traders who lose their money is whom doesn't trust their investment coin. The best example for it is bitcoin. Most of Chines people do panic selling, this result negative impact to bitcoin, because of that other holders sold it because they think bitcoin will crash continuously. However, things that the expected was false, it is now rising gradually. Hence, don't mistrust the coin you hold just because it goes down. That us the currency, it goes up and down.

Patience doesn't mean waiting for a long time. Patience is waiting for the right time to sell or buy, as you can see that the altcoin markets are having short-term activities such as dumping and pumping which may occur withing few days, therefore you don't need to wait until few months unless it's really necessary, and one important thing is that even if you're waiting for a long time it doesn't mean that the price will always increase, the price might decrease drastically while you're waiting.
