I've got a question about mining guys! I've been running with errors when trying to run sgminer via console cause I'm kinda noob with all this. But if instead I choose to mine directly with the wallet, I use the command: setgenerate true 4 in my wallet console. My cpu cores then start working so mining that way seems to work. My question is: Is there a good chance I can find blocks that way? am I helping the network meaningfully or is this just wasting electricity on my end? wallet is on a FX-6300 cpu. Thanks!

What errors are you getting and which sgmimer version are you using?
You can download sgminer 5.1.1 from qubitcoin.cc and follow instructions on pool.qubitcoinxplorer.cc - getting started page.

Yes I did the correct steps, good version, followed instructions. But if I open Qubit-START.bat , the console open and close immediately, doesnt run sgminer.exe. After messing up with the bat file at the best of my abilities I gave up and tried entering settings manually when running sgminer.exe directly. Everything seems to work until selecting Algorithm, if I enter qubitcoin as algorithm. Console shows: Building binary qubitcoinGeforce GTX 1070gw25614ku0.bin. Initialising kernel qubitcoin.cl with nfactor 10, n1024. Then Error 46-: Creating Extrakernel #0 from program. Failed to intit GPU thread 0, disabling device 0. Restarting the GPU from menu will not fix this. Recheck configuration and try restarting. Press enter to continue, then sgminer.exe gets an APPCRASH

If I dont select anything as algorithm. It says building binariers as ckolivas GEFORCEGTX1070... It initialize the kernel ckolivas.cl I get messages work available from pools, resuming, mining seems to works but the speed I have is around 30Kh/s. Is this a normal speed? I'm also having these things showing sometimes: Rejected d186e185 Diff 1.222/0.001 GPU 0 (low difficulty share of 2.35).
Thanks for helping!

For Nvidia GPUs you have to use CCminer. I will add it to our download section.
In the mean time you can download it here http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/ccminer-1.5.52-git-spmod.zip and see if it works.

It works, I can mine at around 21MH/S now and l start to get shares! YAYYY!!!

My Qubit-Start.bat for ccminer now looks like this:

ccminer.exe -q -a qubit -o stratum+tcp://pool.qubitcoinxplorer.com:3001 -u GQ1ZduiMZ9ib23R7zCvioj2hvr6wYETDgS -p d=0.002

Everything should be ok or something could be added there to optimize my gpu?

Big thanks for the help! Looks like a cool little coin you got there! And cpu mining from the wallet? Worth it or not?

You should get help about available commands for CCminier if you type in cmd prompt ccminer.exe -h. You should be able to find help online.

As for the CPU mining - it really cannot compare to GPU. GPU is much faster.

Thanks for the feedback Smiley I must say I never used CCminer.

I'm asking myself the same question. I've invested a bit and watched this coin closely go for over a week now. Sales order on Cryptopia I saw during that period topped at around 4.5milions coins available for the btc market and 280k for the ltc and doge markets each. The block explorer rich list makes me curious about the rarity... Most of the top 100 if not all, have not moved since 2014! This coin looks to me like a good opportunity because of it's undervalued rarity. Somebody even made a video on youtube this week about it!

HI All

Just wondering if the Q2C blockchain has changed since 2014 has there been a fork, does anyone know.

The reason I am asking is that. back in late 2014 I was trading this coin on Poloniex and forgot about the coins I had in my account... well it turns out I have around 267k of Q2C on my Polonix account and have been trying to withdraw them to Cryptopia but the withdraw just keeps saying PENDING on Poloniex. I have submitted a support ticket but not holding my breath to get a reply.

If there is a way I can get them off poloniex and on to cryptopia that would be great. would even make a donation to anyone that would have a fix..

Or are the coins stuck on Poloniex forever now.. LOL  - I know it was delisted from Poloniex a very long time ago..

Thx for any help.

Thanks for maintaining it @zex24!  I've sent 3k to the faucet and I was following also closely it's action, I saw this go also. Maybe if instead of 15 minutes, by setting a time limit of 45m or 1hr, the dripping of the faucet would be more reasonable... I feel though it would be nice the faucet to be re-put on soon because I feel more and more people may be interrested in this coin, and this faucet is a nice little neat feature to experiment with Q2C!

Concerning the previous post about your Poloniex Q2C, wish I could help but I'm not sure, I know there is some people talking about this in the previous pages or older thread, not sure... best of luck recovering it! there must be a way! Peace!

Regarding the faucet - I have to update proxy filter and then put it back online. I can also increase payout time to 30min.

All coins from the start (2014) are still valid. Now, probably the majority has been lost (deleted, forgotten on the exchange) forever but how much I don't know.

Qubitcoin is still in development. As I already said we have one project that we will be trying to carry through. There are other ideas and options but those are still in early phase.
