website looks like copy paste...

all this copy-coins will not be updated so it's pretty pointless, as the currency will be worthless if bugs are not fixed in the future...
Anyway.

What are the "specs" of the coin? anyone knows? how many, how long takes to to reach that number etc...

Well if anything it was an interesting exercise in setting up solo mining...something that only the ancient ones had knowledge of. Also, it is amazing to think that at one time people were raking in 50BTC a pop so quickly..wow!

I mined 550 BTE just fine then I started having problems... the client shows a popup when I solve a block but it doesn't show the Bytecoins in my wallet.

Your blocks have been orphaned or you need to let them mature.

Oh okay, yeah they must have been orphaned. Makes sense.

Grin  No really...this is some sorta prank right?  To me it's like inventing Pepsi after Some1 invented Coke.  But if enough folks are willing to trade real stuff for this new bytecoin...then that's all the validation bytecoin needs. I wish all the best for the bytecoin.

Saigō Takamori : ( 1828 – 1877) was one of the most influential samurai in Japanese history. He has been dubbed the last true samurai.

I just mined my first 50 BTE!

So where are the software/instructions for solo mining?

The software is linked in the first post of this thread. As for instructions, it is just like solo mining bitcoins.

On windows you run the client in server mode by creating a bytecoin.conf file in your appdata folder.

Follow a guide for bitcoin solo mining.

Sounds kind of funny. Not willing to give specific instructions here? Looks like you're not prepared to promote Bytecoin to the point of helping others mine.  Hmmmm.......

http://maunderingcabal.blogspot.com/2013/02/bitcoin-mining-log-9-how-to-solo-mine.html

Here is a solo mining guide for bitcoin and altcoins, it should be trivial to apply the guide to Bytecoin.

Good luck!

brie and Mogumodz,

Thanks very much for the info. Y shall apply this to my trivial mind and see what happens.

How does bytecoin differ from bitcoin? How will it be different from all the failed scamcoins?

I see what you're doing - testing bytecoin's ability to deal with dust tx.

Hmm? It's a clone of bitcoin, no need to test anything. Plus, I don't send any dust if you lose.
