Help is this solo mining?  I think it has some errors..... http://picpaste.com/image-k7TLcIPc.jpgtried to do img tag but wouldn't work... :-( Some one please help me I am doing just local host setup I followed solo mining guides not sure if this is right Looks good, you just need to wait for it to find a block. Might take an hour or so before you hit a block (50 coins). |

idk if bytecoin will take off but there is a reasonable chance that a series of carbon copies of bitcoin will be used to solve the scalability problem and it would appear that bytecoin is the first in line. I think its a hell of a long shot but a good bet if you are into lottery ticket type investments =) Scalability problem? And frankly, I personally think a carbon copy coin is a wasted effort. Why not roll in some changes to tackle a few issues bitcoin is currently facing? And what's to stop each user on this forum from just creating their own coin and flooding the world with hundreds of copycat branches? Hey, what's to stop me from printing 'Saigo dollars' on paper at home, and giving them out on the street ? Nothing stopping me! But no one is going to use them... |

I'm having problems getting the pool miner to run. SW firewall and router should be configured correctly but I can't connect to the pool. can someone please help me or point me to a comprehensive troubleshooting guide? guiminer exe log: Traceback (most recent call last):

You haven't found any blocks yet because your hash rate is quite low. You might be better off pool mining. |

"why not tackle a few issues" the way i see it the scalability problem is bitcoins only issue. And yes there is a scalability problem, right now bitcoin users store every bitcoin transaction in the world on their computers, if 7 billion people were using bitcoin we couldnt be expected to record every time anyone anywhere in the world purchased a couple of bananas or a pack of gum. |

I've been pool mining since the jump to 256 difficulty, but as an experiment I solo mined until I hit a difficulty 1024 block. It took a bit under 3 hours mining @ 400Mh/s...
