What does everyone think about having a 'bytecoin gem', pretty much the same concept as the bitcoin gem site?

I may consider making this if there is enough public interest for it Smiley
Nice concept, take my +1 to it.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Weird this coin
This morning I had 12 byte coin with 34 transaction.
This evening it dropped to 1.9, and 3.5 became unconfirmed (they were confirmed this morning)
When I look at the transacion history I only see 19 transactions. Some of them disapppeared.

With a chain this new i would definitely recommend waiting for quite a few confirmations before you count your eggs.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

lol, no if the tx had 1000 confirmations than your txs definitely didnt get orphaned. I would try reindexing, you probably still have the coins, its probably a problem with your client displaying incorrect information.

Can some one send me the reference in this thread or another tread where the HASH rate of BTE was > that TRC and about 10% of BTC

I saw it here but cant find it (note this was when TRC still had a hashrate) so a few days ago

I have found

I'm all for currency competition, I hope there are hundreds of variants made in the future so that we have even more options, but *duplicate copies* should be ignored completely as money grabs.

Hard to ignore the hash rate

Network hashrate: 793.28 GH/s

and

From the sticky

-Bytecoin- the 1:1 bitcoin copycat. really bad difficulty adjustment for altcoin, extremally high hashrate for that young coin.

***The bytecoin faucet pool has been closed, the faucet is now completely donation based***

The pool was slowing the faucet down too much, and each block found only funded a few payouts.
