[KMD] Komodo speculation

So KMD was up 200% at one point today.  It pulled back a little, but has still doubled since yesterday.

And BTCD is up 31% on Poloniex because easy way to buy cheap KMD.   BTCD is trading at 25% discount right now on Poloniex vs Cryptox KMD price.   I just bought a bunch more BTCD for some easy arbitrage.   KMD price was at .00038 earlier, which would make KMD price 138% higher than current BTCD price of .0080.  

And KMD is trading at .000289 on Coinexchange, which means if you buy BTCD at .008 and swap to KMD and sell for .000289, you make 85% return on your money.

And I realize volume is low, but these are still amazing trading opportunities at the moment.

Volume aside, there are other factors that would make it (almost) impossible to get these kinds of gains:
1 - Even if swapping is done rapidly, getting the Komodos is done manually by jl777 in batches when you request a payment, so by the time you get your Komodos the price might not be the same as when you swapped.
2 - The blockchain having issues and exchanges not being up-to-date made it impossible to send Komodos when the price was rising.

Of course there are opportunities, but for me it doesn't seem that easy to get these high returns, maybe I'm missing something .

I think this is probably a support level, so I don't expect the price to drop under this. What do you think?

(But there is obvoiusly a great potential to rise when a big exchange lists the KMD.)

KMD already went down under BTC ICO price and settled around 9k - 10k for a little while. As for the BTCD swap rate, it decreases every day, that was the rate for day one of the swap. For the time being KMD seems to be holding well in the 13k - 15k range, let's see where this will take us.

Well it is quite probable, the same way as PASC did it. But only for a short term IMO. Then comes the dump..
Just think about it, with 100k satoshi it will be in top10 marketcap.

It's at 0.0002 right now and ranked 19th on coinmarketcap. It will even surpass Zcash, this is surprising  

And remember, there are still a lot of bug fixes needed and its hasn't been listed in any major exchange. Just wait!

Kind of surprised me to see Komodo overtaking Zcash so soon. I am looking forward to see those bugs fixed and then getting listed on a major exchange such as poloniex, which would really lift the price. My portfolio was green because of NXT and KMD  

But the question is how high can KMD go and how long can it stay there? any thoughts?

It is trading at around .00013 to .00014 which is around where it was yesterday.  It is down maybe 8%.  Coinmarketcap is probably comparing it to the crazy spike yesterday.

But still a nice return over ICO price and the future is bright.

Do you mean you own some Supernet asset? SuperNet and all other related assets will be ported from Nxt to their own assetchain.

Komodo is a coin that replaces Bitcoindark. If you have Btcd you can swap it for Kmd or you'll have to buy it on exchanges. They serve the same function inside the SuperNet project.

Thanks for the clarification. I have not been following the updates and it seems I definitely lost the track. I thought that Komodo was a "replacement" for SuperNet, as Ardor is a "replacement" for NXT.

Yes, they will work as promised. Once Iguana is stable, the main SuperNet features will start getting implemented and there could be a steady stream of fees by the end of the year. The price of SN asset has increased but I don't believe it will pump much until people really notice the money flow.

Remember the other big ico like iconomi is under the ico price and in this time he was sitting on the doubled prices of his ico price and KMD will doing same with it soon. I hodl.

The investors and the bounty hunters are trying to dump the coin, but KMD still on the early phase, we will see KMD price increase in the future. but this is the early journey by the KMD coin. And I feeling glad to keep them in my storage and never doubt.
