Ok to the new guys, run it with -q to drop cpu usage.
Always use a decent cpu, amd cpu's are known to struggle. The typical amd likes ati, nvidia likes intel bs that we are all use to.

Ive ran 6 instances over 3 cards at 7% usage. Thats windows 7 and 8.1
On a intel xeon e3-1230v2

running x11 ? Or some other algo ? I think the high CPU usage is specific to x11. I run using -q , i am getting same high CPU load result (90-95%).

what is the  -q  please  thanks

cudaMiner and ccMiner developers:

Not sure if you've heard about us - NiceHash.com is a novel crypto currency cloud mining service. It runs as a proxy between hashing power providers/sellers and hashing power buyers (https://nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqg0).

NiceHash is using some advanced stratum protocol features. We are getting some user's requests to improve NiceHash.com compatibility with cudaMiner and ccMiner. Here you can find guidelines on how to patch your mining software to get better compatibility with NiceHash:

https://www.nicehash.com/software/#devs

These are relatively simple and small patches, no hard work is needed to implement.

btw: it would be also great for you to implement a good support for backup/failover pools in cudaMiner / ccMiner

+1

Hi there, which version of Cuda Toolkit should I install in order to compile ccminer for windows 7 x64? I see that the guides suggest version 5.5, but is it supposed to be the 32-bit or the 64-bit version? The OS I'll be using ccminer on is 64-bit, but then ccminer itself is 32-bit, so not sure which version of the toolkit to install..

Did you download binnares from offical repository? https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer/releases
GTS 450 has cuda compute 2.1 and not compatible with ccminer anymore.

cut from README.txt:
>>> Additional Notes <<<

This code should be running on nVidia GPUs ranging from compute capability
3.0 up to compute capability 3.5. Support for Compute 2.0 has been dropped
so we can more efficiently implement new algorithms using the latest hardware
features.
