There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The list might be long for drk  Grin
(actually nicehash (sorry for those using it  Grin)... would be good, it is even not possible to mine an X11 coin at launch

Hi,
KopiemTu v1.3 with OC support - is almost ready...

...hey, that's good news - JK I love your project.
would be the perfect addition to have some failover support within KopiemTu.

Failover (external) - is present since version 1.1 Wink

I've been stalking the ANN page looking for coins that might interest the nVidia army. Really gives you an appreciation of the depth and breadth of shitcoins available. I'm looking for pre-ann and nVidia friendly algo's, I am not doing an in-depth evaluation of these coins, merely putting them on the radar so those interested can evaluate them.

World cup coin. Quark algo. Very confused devs. Coin is "just released" but by that they mean it launches on the 23rd. "It can be only extracted by CPU, not by Asic or Gpu".

Goalcoin, scrypt, launches today.

Slimcoin, pre-ann, uses Dcrypt algo. No release date yet. Not sure it's that interesting but figure I'd put it on the radar if anyone is interested.

Nugget coin, x11, just launched. Not all that interesting.

Supercoin, x11, launches the 24th.    - Every 3 hours there will be a block with 4X normal payment (initial 2048 coins) - Every day there will be a block with 16X normal payment (initial 8192 coins) - Every 5 days there will be a block with 128X normal payment (initial 65536 coins) This one might be fun to try and solo mine.

that's all for now. Happy mining all.

Truthfully, don't mine with that.
It'll cost you a ton more in electricity than even the most optimistic gains you'll get from that card.

It's simply too old.

way way too many (X11) coins at the moment... it isn't even possible to keep up (or even feel interested...)

Hi,

Some miners ask about "groestl killer" ccminer update in new KopiemTu v1.3.
When it could be available? (I can wait a bit for it)

Totally agree, It is pretty ridiculous. I've been trying to find alter-algo coins, they just seem far and few between. CCminer does quark rather well even without "killer G". Maybe the re-re-re-re-re-release of the Godzilla movie will bolster Godzillacoin, but I doubt it...

Christian - do you have a suggestion on making something like this for linux? Would it be as simple as building a bash script using replacement system variables or is it more complicated?

Look at the batch file, it shouldnt be too hard to convert it to linux.
But I dont have a linux rig for testing here and i dont know how to change gpu overclockings within linux too.
But maybe someone else can do it for you.

Hey Christian, have you looked at sph-sgminer in the same way you developed ccminer and looked to see if there are opportunities to rewrite the miner program to get a similar BIG BOOST from radeon cards?

It just seems that if you were able to design a new sgminer using the techniques and methods used in ccminer, you could possibly supercharge the radeon cards as well.  Or it could just be wishful thinking.

YOUR THOUGHTS?

Do you think Christian has more than 24 hours ? Do you think its a good idea to work on somebody else work and help them succeed in their work while the creator of the program simply don't care ? Why dont u go the other way round and ask the creator of sgminer to LOOK at ccminer and improve their own work ? Someone who fail should look at someone who is successful and not ask someone who is successful to go to them and make then successful. Nobody got time for that. YOUR THOUGHTS?
I am merely asking someone who is talented and successful to continue to be so by recreating their talents on a different gpu platform by creating an optimized Radeon miner.  Genius cannot be readily replicated by another.  It is innate and some have it and some do not.  I personally would love for Christian to work his/their genius on the Radeon platform.

Yeah I did, even then there are no connections, might try removing all the old addnodes inside my microcoin.conf...

Personally, I think there's enough eyeballs on AMD and it's codebase.  C&C are giving the best to a niche crowd right now, who up until recently haven't really had a leg up on AMD.  The AMD folks never offered to help in the past, and now that nvidia is king, they're looking to sit at the table with us. :\
