Currently working on music.allion.tv offline as I am having a problems reading/writing to the database. Should not take too long but at the moment nothing I import sticks or gets cleared by wtf knows. But i will figure it out and get them online. Just letting people know that I am having issues with the new framework for music. If needed I will kill all site import & export rights and just make it static. X your fingers that I find the problem without going more crazy :p

Basic framework for

is now online. There is currently NO music. Ok there is 1 song as I just put the framework up. I will begin repopulating the music area later tomorrow.

Good Night everyone and sorry again about lack of updates. Roadmap should have been done but just could not focus on it today with everything that was going on so I chit chatted with the wife and did a lot of coding. Hey sorry about not responding yet. I have no excuse besides sometimes I just look at my pm's and mail and say OMFG and close them. (I get around 100+ mails/pms a day). I will definitally read my mails. I apologize that I have not gotten back with you or others that have mailed. I will get to the pm's today. Again to everyone that has been waiting on pm's and mails I am sorry I just been skipping the mails & pms the last few days.

I have seen ur mailbox before and know how many dumbs have been PMing u. Trillions of people all around the globe have been forming queue to send u a PM via various postal services, and only one fifth of them succeeded. This is because I removed 80% of ur mails when I was logged in to ur account. Don't worry about these mails, they don't contacin any worthy information, only personal threats bills and warnings from those whom ur owe money.

Question: what are the benefits compared to projects where files are stored as hashes in IPFS?

As I get this, allion can get cracked down by authorities very easily. Is this to be changed?

The only direct linked files on allion are public domain movies (movies that are stored on allion). All other movies are available either from legitimate sources on youtube or via ipfs. We store NO movies besides public domain (these are the initial movies you find on most sites. like night of the living dead. Refer madness etc.).

The truth is that if we are to continue to stream movies & media we will have to go to limited licensing and be legitimate. This of course would eliminate any NEW movies but would in turn give us a legal right to charge for media & requested media streams. You can look at other media providers like popcornflix and mastersofhorror etc. These companies purchase limited licensing and legally can stream and receive AD revenue from there content.

Does everyone want me to put images all together and then start a voting on it?

For those that are still waiting for questions and comments to be answered I promise to get to them. And Apologize for my lack of responding for the last 2 days.

Part of the framework for the music section is being re-written at the moment. The fail on the music.allion.tv launch was bad but in the end it was a good thing. Both music & movies used part of the same code that was a complete failure so this will not be an issue with movies launch.

Just so people know the movie & music section is not over. We just have to change direction a little and move all control of content to the general public along with the ability to rank the media out of the index. I have not read the thread since the whole fiasco started. Mostly because I needed personal time to think of what to do and how to move forward. Please understand that this is not because I don't care what the community thinks because I do. I have put a notice on Allion.tv & music.allion.tv  if you don't know what is going on.  Allion will continue to move forward.

So in short. We complied with umpteen legal removal notices & took down the entire site.
I am trying to complete the new site that relies on the public for its content (in an awesome way :p)
Working on loads of new features for the wallet.

Anyways I hope everyone has had a good week. You can guess what mine has been like. New updates & loads of new features coming to Allion and its wallet!! I loved the two logo's so much I had to use them both. I actually loved them all but I couldn't smash them all in there or it would be way too gaudy.


For those that are curious on how the new system will work I can kind of explain it quick without going into too much detail.

You know of a movie on lets say ipfs the hash is 100000000000000001 you go to imdb and get the cover photo rename the cover photo with IPFS hash then upload the renamed cover photo via the upload option with IPFS selected. A page is automatically created for the video that streams from a public IPFS gateway. Same goes for youtube etc. Sites to include movies from will also be user submitted. Movie info will be auto retrieved from IMDB via cover photo hash matching. (So if the submitted photo does not exist in IMDB photo hash the submission will be rejected).

So how do we stop porn and fake movies etc. Thats where everyone else comes in. Multiple negative reviews in a row or sustained over a period of days will be automatically removed. Leaving all content that is available up to the user.
