for those complaining about the van, it went through hundreds of stages including letting children write on it at welcome centers and stores. It in NO way was professional. Allion is NOT dead. My family is going through extreme hardship at the moment and I have been completely honest about every aspect of Allion and what has been going on with it.

Again of course the van does not seem professional, thus the Allion Scribble van. Between loosing everything and almost my child Allion has taken the back seat. Yet I continue to try and push a form of product. Most would have just killed there nodes and created a new coin. I will not do that. Like I have said from the beginning I am made ONE (1) Coin, and thats Allion.

I would like to see anyone else go through everything that I have to keep this coin Alive. I have lost everything because of providing Pirated content including almost my child. Yet I am still trying to move forward even though I have been alone in the battle.

I am sorry for the attitude but for shit sake, I have lost everything in attempts to create something that many have profited off. Allion is in a stale transition and will move forward but at the moment I have to think of my family and our future. And NO offense at this point things look completely grim for us yet I continue to try to figure things out for Allion. I have offered Advertising services that would purchase Customer stickers and Flyers. The Stickers (Not small) would be plastered all over the Allion Van (Not scribble, that created a fun factor and got peoples attention since I allowed anyone to come up and write on it) and then Flyers would be placed at all Welcome Centers & rest area's. There is no MAGIC that creates a good coin or product, its when you stop trying that makes a failure.

For those that need the TMI Due to the traveling and promoting the name for over a month we exhausted every bit of finances that we had, then on top of that because of all the traveling a DCF/CPS or wtf ever it is called where you are from initiated a case against us for the instability of my child and the previous legal troubles. To fight this costed quite a bit of money that I already didnt have after promoting the name through 1/2 of the continental united states.  We now have lost everything including soon our home.

If you know one other Dev that has put himself and his family on the line to promote the future of his coin then RUN to them. You can say what you want but Allion is NOT dead nor will it be. Those that have lost faith in me can move on, no one is keeping you here. But I have put my entire life and the life of my family in the hands of this coin and what I believe still will be a successful future.

To those that have stood by allion and HOLDING. Myself and my family thank you for having faith in us. We just tweeted a pretty emotional tweet as we are in financial crisis (yet the chain continues on even though our financial backer bailed on us over 2 months ago).

Newly found PoW blocks are being rejected with the error "block's timestamp is too far in the future"

I had a poke around the code and it looks like the client only allows a leeway of 12 hours from the median time of the last 11 blocks; a block solution with a higher timestamp will be rejected.

We're well beyond outside that 12 hour window now: current time minus median time is almost 68 hours...

Now, I'm not sure if this happened because everyone concidentally shut down their clients (and stopped PoW mining) so that the blockchain stagnated for 12+ hours, or it's simply a symptom of some other issue that caused the blockchain to stall. If it's the former, it may be possible to get things moving again by mining blocks with timestamps from 68 hours ago.

edit 1: looking at the PoS and PoW difficulty for the preceding 100 blocks it seems that maybe people did just stop mining... PoS difficulty was almost minimum, and PoW was heading that way.

edit 2: I had a play with forging timestamps but can't seem to find the right place in the source. It's possible that even if I did manage to mine a block, other nodes in the network would reject it anyway.

Okay, I did manage to push out a block which ignored the timestamp restrictions, but as expected, the network has rejected (ignored) it. So all I've achieved is a local forking of the chain.

Maybe it's time for the dev to step up.

I am sorry for taking so long to do anything and for snapping. I have been in constant distress besides the donations from users. I have have fixed Allion & released while on public wifi on the road. We had moved to new york and that turned out to be the worst mistake we have made yet. (well besides offering illegal content that caused all of this). We are now in nevada and will be heading to a friends land later today when he actually shows us where its at :/ Cross your fingers. I understand that the lack of presence leaves a bad taste and people think that I have jetted and no longer supporting Allion. That is far from the truth. I am working on idea's while at any public plugin & wifi. Like I said I fixed allion at rest area's and McDonalds public wifi, This coin is my future and my families future and I have invested everything into it including our livelyhood and our literal well being.

The fix is to change the offset from 12 hours to 7 weeks? Isn't that kind of... excessive?  

I think it may have been possible to kick the blockchain by mining with a VM with a time set to the past, which means old clients could use it again, but if the blockchain has been extended by the 'new' source then it is effectively a hard fork, requiring everyone to upgrade.

edit: after making the changes and restarting I see the chain has been extended by over 5000 blocks... so an upgrade by everyone is definitely required.

It is just a coin for fun dev claims. I think people who donated to him asked for it or something. There was a tweet about it awhile back, but I don't quite recall. Dev is coming back within the next week. We can expect big things from this dev, who in spite of his life circumstances, is still willing to work on this coin. I look forward to what he plans to do. Has always been a rather transparent straight forward dev and that's a + for any potential coin. With btc rising a low supply coin with an active dev at these kinds of prices is hard to come by.

I have the wallet v1.0.2.build-g-bdb-gcc installed and had 2 almost equal deposits about a half a year ago. One of them has split multiple times and is minting all the time. The other one has reached an age of 142 days, has reached maximum probability a long time ago, but has never split nor minted anything. Is that normal?
