lol what's the point of this coin besides pumping? i see only disadvantages compared to zclassic.
it seems you are asking this backwards, but I have respect for the zclassic devs and won't be dragged into this type of trolling. We already announced a dev update that will take place within a week. If we want hype we would have made a fancy graphic eye candy to go with that. now, care to name some disadvantages?

I succesfully installed Zdash GUI wallet on Linux Mint ! I am not a technical guy, and relatively new to Linux, but it shows it's possible even for new users. There was some tweaking needed to adapt it to this Linux distro. Later, if there is some need, I could post a small tutorial on how to do the installation for Linux Mint users.
The main setback I have for now is I can only use transparent addresses because my laptop has only 3 GB of RAM. It nearly crashes each time I try to send to/receive from a private address. It looks like 4-8 GB of RAM is the minimum needed for private transactions. But at least I can store my Zdash in the wallet in the waiting for a better computer. That's ok for now, as Cryptopia can only manage transparent addresses anyway (whether for deposit or withdrawal).
I only have a small issue for which I'm requesting a bit of help : I only have 3 active connections to the network. How can I increase the number of connections, and what will be the benefit of having more connections ? I am not mining, I just setup a basic configuration file containing only : rpcuser=zcashrpc rpcpassword=XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
My guess is I have to add some nodes addresses in that file, but I'm not sure of this, and how to do it properly. Any advice is welcome.

Im looking at it trying to understand how I can profit off it in the quickest way possible and not lose my temper if something goes belly up. Im in talks with a person who controls topicstarter account, I might urge him to sell it to my buddy for a few bitcoins and after transaction is done, I will physically hit the buyer in the gut and take the money. What do u think?

Hey, trying to learn a bit more about ZDASH.
Can someone tell me what the differences are between ZDASH and ZClassic?
Is ZDASH somehow similar to DASH? I.e. master nodes, Proof of Stake?
Thanks in advance.

Zdash is similar to Zclassic, both are based on Zcash. No masternodes or relation to Dash.

2 miners mining and allready 17blocks found and 1 orphan... Join us now!! Great pool Senne, thanks. Been there since a couple hours after it opened... zdash! Hey, when is ZDASH going to be available on more exchanges like Bittrex, etc? What can someone do to help in this endeavor? I brought over a lot of people to cryptopia yesterday to buy into ZDASH, no offense but the traders there are little to no fun whatsoever. Computers alla them I swear... You want ZDASH up? It needs to play. It needs volumes, jumps, creativity in the marketplace. This is what draws folks to it. I'm the one or one of the ones who flew PIVX into the clouds the last couple months. During those couple short weeks in which it rose from .0001 to .0008 my trades accounted for 40ish percent of all volume in that interval. Granted, I lost my entire initial investment of 5,000 PIVX during the pumping/transaction fees/buying my own sells/etc, but...... I'll say it was one heck of a ride. R8St at your service, happy to do whatever it takes to get this one going too. This time however, I can not afford to use my own funds. I am happy therefore to offer my services. My transaction history on Bittrex can confirm to anyone what I am saying. I did not need to lose all of my money. I started with 5,000 PIVX. I worked up to 24,000 by around .0007. That would be 24 BTC today. I just kept going too long, didn't want it to end. I'm not sure of the technical ethics of what I do, I just know I love what I do and I am damn good at what I do. If anyone wants to fuss about it, I apologize to the rest beforehand. If anyone on the ZDASH team (or elsewhere) would like to give this man a go I am happy to speak further here and/or in private. Message me here or email r8st@outlook.com

Are there any plans to hard fork the current code to implement any Zdash specific changes to the Zcash source?
