Forgot to mention I'm mining. Just a few blocks now and then.

That is great. Have to keep the block chain moving. I mined a bit a month ago on a S3+ and it was pretty smooth. Did you set up your own pool?

I have a tired Antminer U3 running solo at the moment. I have several other dead ones that might revive with new heat-sink goop but haven't had the time or inclination to bother. How may blocks did you pull down with the S3? What's the kitty's name? Is he still a kitten?

I think reducing the total circulation of BTE will further appreciate the price and also give a dimension to the utility. The supply  gives a second view option to the supposed investors and that is enough to drive the price down the valley. Burn or stake BTE and see the Impact it has on circulation.

There will be no circulation if blocks are not being mined. Mining is the key to increased circulation and adoption. BTE startup was not like pre-mined shitcoins. All growth must be miner-based.

You might want to use the internal info on the Bytecoin console. Go to Help>Debug Window>Console and enter "getpeerinfo" at the bottom and hit enter. I get,

"addr" : "164.68.101.222:6333",
"services" : "00000001",
"lastsend" : 1615901883,
"lastrecv" : 1615901882,
"conntime" : 1615889275,
"version" : 70001,
"subver" : "/Satoshi:0.8.1.1/",
"inbound" : false,
"releasetime" : 0,
"startingheight" : 64754,
"banscore" : 0

 Which is the same result as yours. but I'm not seeing your node. What's the IP?

True but you have to have a large bank roll. They're greedy, once they finish you out, they're gone. They have no loyalty.

I am really curious what you are talking about here.

Rich or Poor. You're contributions make you the real Satoshi to me. Thank you for your amazing scaling efforts in every aspect of work you put into this. I hope this message finds you well. I hope that this world gets to give you the recognition your deserve. You're much like MarkM, I've seen some posts with the both of you. And Gavin, Lolcust, I even learned to mine some TBX from Mr. markm. I hope you're still around somewhere. Collectively you markm, and all the unsung heros were here all along, not riding lambos and cashing out. Just here leaving the world documentation. I hope this board and software is kept up forever so one day it becomes the library of the greatest  achievements known to human kind. And also the way Open Sourcing not just software or code etc, but the discussions and social aspects of development can help persistent people grasp enough to have gratitude for  people before they're told to be TV. I have yet to lose my soul to the media. It's made me resilient. It's made me care more about the right things. All the best sir.

Prof,

Any idea why my block height is well above the one you show? How do we get more nodesup?

My electricity was off for a few hours today.  When I booted back up just now, some new nodes connected, and my block count went from 58122 to 58126.  However, there was a re-organization back 16 blocks, and the newest block now is back to Sat Aug 27 01:26:49 2016 instead of last week.  Apparently the nodes have been fragmented for some time.

I think it is important that everyone try to accept connections from each other as well as reach out to each other.  If I get hit by a truck or something and no one else allows each other to connect, the network is still vulnerable.

Prof you ever met markm... he and you always talking about getting hit by trucks and buses lol

Interesting project but why would people throw away the one and only Bitcoin 1:1 copy of the old days?
Same reason you like hodling your devcoins. Plenty of Satoshi clients that still exist. 3.

Hi ya,

I'm trying to reconstruct my transactions from years ago.  Tax reasons.  Embarrassed
There's a lot, and many exchanges are now defunct and so with it my trade records.

I have an old bytecoin BTE wallet, and have compiled the bytecoin daemon, but unable to download the blockchain as there is currently no peers. Can anyone help with this?

If you can get your node running, PM your IP address and I'll try and connect.  If you don't mind making your IP public, you can post it her and perhaps others can connect also. LMK. If you don't have the Windows wallet setup, I can supply a clean copy. Shouldn't take long to DL the entire blockchain.

My ip is currently 86.160.129.103 but my ISP changes it regularly, so it may of changed by the time you read this.
I have a DDNS address setup at dns1.ddns.net which should still point to me if my ISP changes it.

I have my node running and listening on port 6333 and have opened up the port in my firewall.

Hope you can connect.
