About 71 block until diff adjustment.
Only 50 blocks if I count well (we are at block 42265%2015 = 1965, it's an exact Bitcoin clone, isn't?)
3 blocks every day or so... and when the difficulty will finally adjust, everybody will mine it and the diff will jump again...
This currency is definitively dead...

The difficulty has decreased 4X.
Hashpower has been re-allocated to the chain.

Finally, this is some great news!

I don't understand how it will be great news.  This time tomorrow, the difficulty will be back where it was yesterday, and the hashpower will be gone again.

I try to be respectful and informed.

Hi everyone - whats going on with this coin?  I think it is an absolutely great idea to clone bitcoin 1:1 and give a fresh start for the people who missed out on the early stages of bitcoins growth.  Why cant this coin be a heavy weight competitor to bitcoin.  Where has all the interest gone?  I have 3th at my disposal.  Is there anyway I can help promote, mine or get involved in getting this coin back on track?.  My wallet is not syncing which is a big problem to start with - added all the addnodes to the .config?  maybe not enough peers with a wallet to sync?

You might try adding 66.234.123.28 or [2001:470:c019::2013:401] to your config file.  The both have FQDN of bte.vima.austin.tx.us

In the console window, the command would be
  addnode 66.234.123.28 add
  addnode 2001:470:c019::2013:401 add

44397 - 44352 = 36 blocks.
'2014-08-16 16:22'  - '2014-08-15 04:24' ~ 36 hours

36 blocks / (144 blocks/day * 36 hours / 24 hours/day) * 1,056,741 difficulty * 2**32 / 600e12 --> 1.57 TH/s net hash rate.

(3 + 1.57) TH/s should result in about 70 blocks/day.

I try to be respectful and informed.

I would like to discuss the flow of new blocks through the network, and through the software, and the interface between the reference software and miners.

If anyone is up to speed on that software, I'd like to know.

I try to be respectful and informed.

Server Stats: http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152/static/

Use Stratum: -o stratum+tcp://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u <your_bytecoin_address> -p <random_password>
Non Stratum: -o http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u <your_bytecoin_address> -p <random_password>

Reducing DOA; Add +16 directly to the END of your WALLET address.
i.e. cgminer -o http://bte.thecomputerfield.com:5152 -u 8FJg9N8J181VFjzw2eip4meZQTMzga4CXo+16 -p x

Just as a reminder, there are no accounts or coins stored by the pool. No confirmations to wait for....your coins are sent to you as soon as a block is found. Every block found is simultaneously announced across all the wallets in the P2Pool so there are less orphans encountered.

bytecoins still alive...

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?
