Is there any plan from bitdice to add poker (Texas Holdem) in the future. To be honest, there are only 2 'good' poker sites and would be nice to see more competence, it would be easy to add with some software like poker mavens or cubeia. So, any plans about this?
It would be really difficult without a big existing playerbase. I’ll second that most of the players on Bitdice I have seen are playing Dice or Blackjack, adding that game will take time and I don’t think the current players are poker fans. I feel instead of adding the poker game right away they can make a survey, asking players if they wish to see poker on the site. On the basis of the input they get, they can take a call going ahead. There is a big playerbase about Online poker, sadly from that playerbase only the 5% or less is on cryptos. But i think that's because there are no god cryptos poker services like full tilt poker, or one of those. Maybe if a good engine comes out that will bring more professionals players. But you are right, maybe now is a bad bet.

What's going on guys? I have been away from the forum for a while and I'm stoked by the updates that have been added to the site! Good to see @Boxbob & BitDice team holding it down all professionally without a single complain in all these months.

That's really interesting. But what kind of challenge will you add to this matters. Because it is player to player and there is nothing automated. Each one's winning need to be fair without anykind of mistakes, only then it will gain the reputation so that more users participates.
There are several ways to determine the winner it could be based from one of the following. Assuming all players would have an equal starting balance. -profit not including losses -wagered amount -whoever has the highest balance at the end of the day -rolling a specific number There's no need to doubt bitdice if you think the players can cheat then someone trusted(maybe the escrow) has to be the referee for verification. If no one is interested, that's fine too I'm interested but it might take time to fill in the remaining slots. It will be easily fill the slots because there's a lot of gamblers around. The problem is how to attract them. Probably another thread in Gambling is the best thing to do. I'm more of a sports bettor though, so I'm not going to be interested, but with so many experienced gamblers around, I won't be surprised if all the slots will be taken. For current situation, I do not think that they need to attract more people. By making some events people will always stand by and deposit some of their money already to play, so there is no need for them to asking people to play again on their site. It is already like automatically people will try to find them for betting on their casino or sportbetting Every casino need to attract more people either they are too much reputed and well known or they are new. For example who has 10k users they need 15k users. Who has 1M users they need 1.1M users. So, attracting new people is a must.

But currently with this member I believe they are good enough and what they should do is maintaining this people by giving something new for them so they do not bore and will still keep on coming back. But for new players if they always come without staying, what is the point then? Gambling away some of their money and stay out from this site, do you think it works like that?

Poker requires a marketing that needs to go get the poker players from other places instead of actually grabbing the poker players in current crypto space. When you create a brand new dice game for example, you can get other dice players from older dice websites that are bored with it and want to try something new, even blackjack can be considered like that, the market is big enough to get more and more dice websites (some of them will survive while others will die quickly) but poker is not like that, when you want to start a new poker game in crypto you need to get people into crypto as well as into your website which is a lot harder because they are accustomed to play with fiat so playing with crypto will be harder for a lot of poker players. The current poker base in crypto is not big enough to sustain too many websites, hell even one website.

To be honest I'm not sure if any of our presumptions work in the space. Any new business move should be qualified by actual market research, which I believe is still quite lacking in this space. If you think about it, most people are just doing what feels right, but I don't think anything is set in stone. With dice I do agree based on my own experience that dicers like playing everywhere. If they like 3 places, they play at 3 places. And so new dice sites can always benefit from having a good system, because old and existing players will always come to play. Poker is different I guess. But there isn't a crypto poker place that's really tried to make it big without relying on outside software. I'm not confident it's for BitDice in that sense.

Hey I don’t think it’s a good idea for Bitdice to get into poker, as I have said it before I have seen very few people ask for it, and even in the gambling section there’re very few poker fans. Also Bitdice is known to all as a premier dice site, to get poker players they’ll have to lots of branding which could cause them to loose dice players. I feel Bitdice is good the way it is, and I feel Alex won’t be making any changes soon.

This has been discussed and they're considering to add more games in the future including poker and sports betting too. But right now, it is what it is and re-branding would create changes that the faithful dicers won't be comfortable with. The current poker base in crypto is not big enough to sustain too many websites, hell even one website.
And it's wise for them if they'll just focus on the current base of dicers and existing games.

I have the same view too on where re-branding or adding up other field or type of gambling will surely affect other players but well it would all still depend on their decisions if they would pursue to continue or would just remain the old ways on where they do gain and built up their name.

I don't know where you get your "poker players play in one place but dice players play everywhere" data. I have been playing poker for couple of years now (not professionally, just having fun) and I do play in multiple places depending on what I see as tournaments.
Poker has that advantage, it could be freerolls for new people coming in or it could be some tournament you need to pay for entry but in the end no matter what happens you basically play anywhere that has a decent tournament. That is why in crypto space there could be a lot of poker websites because in crypto sending and receiving money is even easier and a person could have a poker place they like to play for regular cash tables but they could totally switch websites for bigger tournaments they want to join.

Hey Bitdice now supports via intercom on their site, open the site and click on it you’ll find support there. Also I would suggest you to send them screen shots so they’re able to find out the issue and help you accordingly. Lastly try clearing your cache, or try loggin using VPN if your country has banned casino sites that could be a issue too.

By the way, i have another idea for the casino, is there a chance that you add inside exchange? Would be nice if the users could change BTC for DOGE or for tokens on their profile.

I know, I think you'll find that I actually agree, as I said Poker is a different animal and that's why I also think I'm not too sure that it's the right step for BitDice. All I know I can remember is that we're coming up with a new offering this year, and it has a pretty big following in this forum (sports). Just look at Gambling Discussion and majority of threads is not poker or casino games but sports!
