What is meant here is not a wallet. He means any website where you deposit Bitcoins without owning the private key. For example an exchange, or an online casino. Usually Bitcoin addresses 1addyA and 1addyB are linked together when outputs from 1addyA and 1addyB are spend in one transaction. If 1addyA and 1addyB are part my wallet (say Bitcon Core), than indeed both addresses belong to me. However, if 1addyA and 1addyB are owned by third-party-site X, it is very likely that Bob has deposited to 1addyA while Alice deposited to 1addyB. Now, when outputs from 1addyA and 1addyB are spend in one transaction, that has nothing to do with neither Bob nor Alice. |
