Qtum’s CEO Patrick Dai: “We are the biggest influencer in China’s blockchain industry”

http://chinacryptonews.com/1/interview-qtum-ceo-patrick-dai?from=groupmessage&isappinstalled=0

China Crypto News’ main purpose is to inform the world about the latest trends and developments of the blockchain industry in China. And what is better than letting the experts do the talking. Therefore, we reached out to Qtum’s CEO Patrick Dai (28) to ask him about the latest status of their project, as well as his opinion about the blokchain industry in China in general. Qtum, although registered in Singapore, is considered China’s second largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of  nearly USD900 million at the moment of writing. Forbes Magazine named Patrick Dai on the Chinese edition of the “30-under-30” list with Chinese young innovators, entrepreneurs and leaders............

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I want to swap my QTUM tokens to QTUM coins can someone tell me how I can do that now? Unfortunately, I missed the BITTREX swap

I want to swap my QTUM tokens too. I found this explanation but I did not try yet:
https://twitter.com/QtumOfficial/status/917572178274525184

I missed the Bittrex swap, too. For me the swap at  https://qtum.changelly.com/  worked out very well.

I could even provide a Bittrex deposit address. This way I don't miss any more deadlines without having to install a wallet.

Someone previously mentioned about the similarities between the Stratis Dev team and Qtums... while I see the comparisons as regards non overhyped announcements etc, imo, Qtum on analysis especially time frame wise in hitting targets doesn't have a comparison in the market yet. IN THIS DEPARTMENT THEY ARE STREETS AHEAD of anyone else.

I agree.  This project really has no equal when it comes to meeting deadlines and being on target.  They actually beat their time for projected mainnet release.  For a project to be ahead of schedule in Crypto is almost unheard of.  Look at all the other projects that are months behind or have promised features that still have not come out.

The only other project that is remotely close that i follow is Deeponion, which has so far not deviated from any of their release timeframes.  Quite an impressive feat when you consider that the project was no ICO and they raised no money at all.

Hello all, could someone kindly explain to me how Qtum value is linked to the success of this project?
Or is Qtum a little bit like ETH & NEO?
thanks!

QTUM released their own wallet/blockchain, called Ignition. The ERC20 QTUM Tokens are being exchanged for the new QTUM Ignition tokens.

However, some users (including me) are having trouble with this, since Cryptopia didn't automatically credit traders with QTUM Ignition tokens, and it's not possible to withdraw the ERC20 Tokens for some reason...

Still waiting for help with this issue.

Please be careful with this kind of behavior. Try to use Qtum addresses only you own, this gives you a lot more control if issues arise. It is a good practice to keep tokens on an exchange only when you plan to use their services, and remove them right after.

Thank you so much for sharing that link I just completed my end of the swap process (sent changelly). Any idea how long will it take for them to send new tokens?

With me it took less than a day. So it was even faster than previously announced.

Do we need to swap it if we're on exchange. I have qtum on bittrex. Usually exchanges do it on their own.

Would anyone from qtum reply to this? What happens if we don't swap

Qtum is the best marketing Chinese project, it is listing on bithumb and okex, it may be listing on poloniex in the future. Qtum is the most promising project out there.

They have some competitors? Do you know some of them? Chinese or Korean projects?

Changelly requires 24-48 hours to send your tokens. This is because they have to provably burn the ERC20 tokens in order to get reimbursed with Qtum Ignition from our Foundation.

If you have your Qtum on Bittrex, they were already swapped. The swap is for Qtum holders who had ERC20 tokens before the October 4th exchange swap.

Anyone knows if the EOS ICO is having a negative effect on the Qtum price right now.
On Yunbi & BTER is EOS/CNY trading pair always seems to trend.
And lately bithumb has been down here and there...

I tried downloading the 64bit Qtum wallet for linux, it was too difficult for  me.
Wondering if anyone have had opportunity to test electrum version? Now I'm just using the android app to store my coins but I know it's not safe!
