I have heard that bitcoin is not supported in some countries. But why ? Is it because bitcoin is risky ? Some countries even declare 6 months jail if her people use bitcoin. Is it fair ? I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? I pay electric bill, my room temperature goes high and I get paid. With actually no skill on pc hardware and software. Whole thing is still pretty unclear to me

Their countries , their laws. It really depends on your definition for not supported too . If we speak about banning then as far as I know I don't think there is a country that actually banned bitcoin , at least nothing official and If there is then Its related to the banking system with one way or another . If its about the lack of usability in ATMs , local shops then there are plenty of countries and It takes time as some countries have more priorities .

They dont support bitcoin because they saw that its a threat to them on their governance and also they already knew that bitcoin cant be controlled and impose tax on it and afraid that taxation would be really be affected and also crime rate would increase because of bitcoin because it might increase the hidden transactions on doing illegal things and this is only the thing i know but overall bitcoin is really useful if you dont use it on bad thing.

Those countries fear that Bitcoin will make their economy to go down. Also several taxation problems have been their, as people prefer Bitcoin to escape taxes. Possibly when things go digitalized countries will use Bitcoin's technology to make their own digital currency.

There are actualy just a few countries where Bitcoin is actualy supported in legal way. All others are just tolerating or ignoring it or it's banned. The reason is probably because there is stil dominant thinking that Bitcoin is something connected with illegal activities or tax evasion, or the attitude is that Bitcoin is threath to financial system or the simply just don't know what to do with it.

Every country has different money policy so obviously we can see some different rules, regulations and legal status about how money works around on a certain country including fiats and especially with the new currency in a form of virtual one which is the cryptocurrency. Since most of the authorities are still in the process of learning much more about what cryptocurrency is, expect some legal actions pointing to that since bitcoin is regulated by no one meaning lots of associated risk are on hand if it's used, yes whether on legal and illegal one. Is it fair? Then depends on people's view on it.

each country has rules and laws, respectively. there is a consideration that is certainly very important. there are some countries that do not use bitcoin, and some countries are using bitcoin. it is a right of every government.

Every country is different. In my country, central bank gave statement about Bitcoin. They said that bitcoin is not ''real'' money, valid for payment, or financial asset. Based on it, it's impossible to use Bitcoin as official money for any payment. I think that in the most countries situation is very similar. Hopefully, we will see some changes soon.

Jail? really? and you are using plural? the only place that i knew of which had strict laws against bitcoin is Bangladesh, and they are already a third world country. and the rest of the countries as far as i know don't have such aggressive laws against bitcoin. some of them are talking about it but it never is confirmed. I mined few cryptos and have left mining. It was fun and challenging too. But I never got any clear answer. What does my gpu actually do ? you should read about mining. there are already a lot of good articles online about it, and they explain it a lot more clear than i can do it on the forum. you can even read the bitcoin.org part about mining.

Because bitcoin could break their laws. Because bitcoin can cause a lot of trouble if they allow bitcoin to use. Bitcoin can use for crimes like money laundering, scamming or even use for ransom. Have you heard about ransom ware? As technology is evolving. Crime is also evolving. And its bad if terrorist use bitcoin for buying equipments to make terror to people

maybe its because their regulations that will not allow another payment system to be used by their citizen and beside that, bitcoin is free from tax and maybe they can not take for the tax for the people which is using bitcoin. its not about how you mining cryptos or you have the crypto in your wallet, its about the regulations of the country that bitcoin is prohibited by law so people is scared when they using bitcoin.

It is maybe because those countries feel bitcoin can make their people get away from fiat and stop believing them and accept or use bitcoin more often than fiat if they let them do this, so maybe that is why they just ban it so that they don't have any problems because of it.

It depends on the country you're in,if you're living in a communist country like North Korea you will have no chance to stock Bitcoin, some countries are very much regulated and they don't want their citizen to participate in something that they cannot grasp.I'm just lucky to be in a country where people and the government are open minded.

I think every country has policies of each so I think reasonable if there is support and even no support bitcoin, there must be a definite reason. Perhaps the reason why many countries do not support bitcoin is a safety factor, bitcoin is still vulnerable to hackers so for security reasons there may be countries that prohibit using bitcoin. Additionally bitcoin is always used for illegal activities (such as selling drugs, money laundering, etc.) so that bitcoin is not supported.

They are afraid that people on a certain country will fully switch to bitcoin and with that thing happen problem will arise regarding on implementing tax and thats the time the government will have a very big problem because most people do already have the control on their money unlike on banks which is regulated by the government.

That's really weird especially the jail part, the countries I knew allows Bitcoin use, though it's not legal but there are no such restrictions. But then again each country has its own policy and rules. Maybe the citizens have been grossly missing it or the country has not understood it at all. However I feel. Really sad for this users. Hope the country changes it law.

probabaly because bitcoin cannot be controlled by the government. sometimes we find government take profit too. so it is possible if they think they cannot control bitcoin in order to get profit, so they banned it. IMO besides, bitcoin can be used by criminals and delete their tracks. so they cannot be arrested.
