I remember several years ago similar poll was made and i was surprised most of the users answered NO.
In case your answer is still NO, I'd like to know what is your main reason not to own one bitcoin?

EDIT2018:
In 2017 it was 51% YES / 49% NO.
I'll leave voting open and since we are no longer in 2017 I'll change the subject to "Do you own 1 Bitcoin?"
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I voted yes, I own multiple btc.

The reason why most of you don't have 1 btc is because it's too complicated, Coinbase is under IRS discovery legal proceeding so all you who purchased bitcoins there will have your tax audited, btc has become too expensive, and it's way too speculative, you can lose your shirts overnight.

If you don't currently own 1 BTC, I say make that your goal for 2017.
Remember, most of the world still has no idea what Bitcoin is. Even paying the current price, a few years from now you may still be considered an "early adopter".
All we need is one big website like Amazon to start accepting payments in Bitcoin and a price of $900 will seem like a distant past.

Yes i did. Unfortunately they were not spent very efficiently : )
Anyways, it wasn't a big deal back then. I believed (and still believe) that currency circulating is important. In my view being only a HODLER doesn't make you a true Bitcoiner.

I don't have a bitcoin. But it looks like you have one or even some if you are surprised to hear that mostly people don't have 1 bitcoin. Probably I would have one bitcoin already in the case that I would not cash out my bitcoins every time when I needed some money.

I hold exactly one Bitcoin in one of my collectible coins. Maybe I would've loaded my Genesis coins before selling them .-.

Besides this one bitcoin in gold storage, I'm holding another 5 Bitcoin for the future.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

Pool or poll?  Cheesy

I think I remember the poll or at least a similar one. And I recollect that I honestly voted for no. Now I am fortunately can vote for yes. If I would not have at least 1 Bitcoin yet, then I would give much to buy one. Everything looks like we'll see a four-digit Dollar price again in 2017. And probably a new record high.

I have over 1 Bitcoin and i'm happy with it. It's not much of a loss if it all turns to nothing, but it's a lot if at any point people around the world will want to own a piece of it. It might become just a collectible or a way to store some money outside of the banking and legal systems, but it's still a good idea to own even half a coin.

Well, now I do not have 1 BTC, could even be said, that the current bitcoin I have so far of 1 BTC. but, I do not care about it. My whole goal is just to collect bitcoin, bitcoin whether any price, I will stay focused on my goals. maybe just when mid-2017, I get 1 BTC, and at that time bitcoin prices are very high.

All of that's true, of course, but none of it is the reason why I don't own a whole bitcoin.  I did, and I sold it.  I also lended some dork-ass part of a bitcoin and got burned.  And now that Circle doesn't sell bitcoin I'm having somewhat of a hard time actually buying any.  Oh well.

Yeah i think that anyone who knows about bitcoin should be getting at least 1,  short term it might be risky investment but longer term it is a sure thing in my opinion,  i can see prices in the thousands in a few years.  Grin

Actually it could be, but I'm wasting my Bitcoins so I do not have any bitcoin in this face. Normally I have more or less bitcoins, but it's more important to accumulate. Cheesy

For now i am still hoping to touch my savings in that amount but sometimes spending my bitcoin and scaling for other activities online like buying service and buying domains but i hope someday if my saving touch that amount of bitcoin i'll scale up for buying and sell bitcoin..
Since the price is not stable i think this is the only safer than the other ways..
