Hello
Just 10 minutes ago, i suddenly got logged out from my btc-e account And password was changed
I tried forgot password but it didn't work
Unfortunately i didnt have email verify withdrawal option Sad
So my question is, How long does it usually take to withdraw ltc from their site?
Do you think their support may lock my account before any withdraw made or i lost all my money inside it?

UPDATE: So far, there are at least 10 others with the same issue, They Cannot access their accounts and some had confirmed their balances are gone.
The only answer from btc-e so far was changing logins from usernames to emails.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

THIS EXACT SAME THING just happened to me... I had a ton of money in there. I use a unique random password only on BTC-E and run linux locally. There is NO WAY it is anything I did. This is messed up!

Hello again
well after getting a little calm..
So, i am now on a live fedora linux changing my passwords for my important website accounts.
I got an email back from "Support@btc-e.com" saying 2 words "block accout" (Yes misspelled).
Does it mean my money is safe there for now? i have no idea.
Anyway, now i know my wallet.dat is probably taken by the hacker but it's empty atm.

Now, I'm trying to run litecoin-qt to create a new wallet but it doesn't run, i get the message below. Any help is appreciated.
Code:
bash: /home/liveuser/Desktop/litecoin-qt: /lib/ld-linux.so.2: bad ELF interpreter: No such file or directory
I'm using fedora.

Well now this makes it messed up.
I was using windows, i thought i got hacked because i clicked on a link or something

Having a database problem is one thing, Having account hijacked another
I don't mind waiting if my account is safe
but i'm worried about somebody withdrawing my money if they have access to it right now

Fuck me, first instawalet and then this.  Angry

What would be the best course of action for someone who has coins in there.

I havent checked my login yet

Should i log in, (if i can) and send my coins to a newly created address through liteaddress.org?

I have heard some people having problems withdrawing coins too.

Maybe send to a few different addresses?

What do you think?

Well why don't you try to login now?
Get your smart phone/ Live linux and get a liteaddress.org safe address
Then transfer it there. Save the priv key on your phone/paper
At least that's exactly what i'm going to do after i get to access my account there.

I was planning on using the liteaddress.org site but offline

Is that good enough?

Yes. Since it's a client side wallet generator, your browser will handle everything even if you are not connected to internet.

Changed my settings to need an email confirmation to withdraw. Smiley

Feel a little more secure while waiting to see if the small withdrawal i made comes off without a hitch, Thanks.

Your computers are not infected... this is a problem with btc-e. They did not respond to my support request, but I have a service that records visitors actions on my website. Shortly after I put in a support message telling them my situation, someone from Krasnoyarsk Russia accessed my website looking into me and through my site, but did not respond! I then told support I saw them on my server and sent them their IP (which accessed my site), then they responded asking for my email and that is all I have gotten from them so far!!

I am really sorry for your loss, and i know exactly how you feel. Yesterday at the bitcoin's crash i cleared all my money i had in perfect money and wallet to btc-e for trading, Today i woke up, logged in and everything was perfect. I was just about to withdraw some of my ltc when it happened.
Now all i can think of is my ltc in the account. I have a firewall that reports if any applications except opera tries to connect to internet, but still at first i thought i was infected. I have no idea now, i just hope my money is safe

I'd withdraw my money instantly if i was you. I just saw 4 other people having same issue in btc-e's helpdesk forum. And i'm sure as soon as more people wake up more reports will get there.
What's worse is how they don't tell other members in news, just "use emails now instead of name" How about a "We got hacked change all your passwords now."

It's obvious this is not a problem from the clients' side. i'd demand a refund since this security breach was on their end

I got a error msg, blank space in login case but after a refresh all is ok for me

This is why I have a 25+ character password and email verification for withdrawals that go to my gmail that has 2-step verification. Call me paranoid, but I think it's appropriate when money is involved.

Hello! I can't login to my account!
I used a very strong and long password with 25chars+ and special chars but my e-mail and pwd-combination doesn't work.
My account name has been "Atomfire". When tried using their support ticket system it says "invalid e-mail".

So any ideas? I have some LTC, BTC and PPC over there...

I was talking about the BTC equivalent... They just cleaned out my account with all the different currencies I had and converted it all to bitcoin and withdrew it.

btc-e is doing nothing to help me and is now ignoring me. I some very interesting information about all this such as IP addresses from btc-e support while looking at my website after I told them I was going to the media. Once I sent them their own IP they responded immediately. This is all very fishy to me, I will be posting updates soon and this will be all over the news. Anyone else want in on this?

How much have you all lost?

we need to start a public demand for payback of lost funds. This is the worst customer support I've ever heard of in my life. This needs to go public and I'm working on a press release to put out to all major publications to warn people not to use btc-e

Please PM me your email or just post here publicly if you would like to be involved in this.

Well, so it is very easy for the FED to eliminate any cryptocurrency: they just have to pump and dump it.

Stop thinking in terms of fiat money, cryptocurrencies are about freedom, just use them to buy goods and services and just invest them what you can afford to loose.

You are not helping.. I was not an early adapter like you were, i mined my btc from 0.01 btc daily and i didn't exactly have that kind of money to waste 30000$ on an asic, and i am so glad i didn't.
Most of it gone anyway, i'm just stuck with an electricity bill that's all

You're still an early adopter, this is a game that will be played in the long run, Bitcoin is still a newborn and its economy is like a peanut... And what we were having was clearly a crazy speculative bubble in its purest form, which means that it's GREAT that it popped.

Don't be silly, is fiat which is not to be trusted. Just remember to make your investments wisely and do not invest what you cannot afford to loose.

I know what you are talking about, and i would have completely agreed with you if you said that to me yesterday
However, my electricity bill is due tomorrow and those 30 ltc which i was robbed off was exactly in my btc-e to pay for the bill. Instead btc-e screws up and not only i lose 30 of my coins but now i have to sell the rest of my coins cheap because i have to have electricity to live for the next month.
And i need to sell about all of my current coins (78.8 ltc) plus some of my own to afford the bill if the price don't go up. Well bad start for a newbie if you ask me.

Cool thanks for the update.. hopefully my missing coins will be somewhere..

However... I withdrew some BTC to Gox about an hour ago and nothing has shown at Gox yet.

May be a Gox problem though.

This is more in the same ballpark of what I lost ( 200BTC )

I'm putting together a press release, PM me if you want to get involved? I would love to go over some of the evidence with you...

I've been banned from chat for reporting that I cannot withdraw my LTC

FWIW, I have just withdrawn some LTC successfully.

Cool thanks for the update.. hopefully my missing coins will be somewhere..

However... I withdrew some BTC to Gox about an hour ago and nothing has shown at Gox yet.

May be a Gox problem though.

BTC finally arrived.

Same way anyone else would deal with losing $45,000 (value at the time of theft) ...not well.

I have the can't login problem. Only had a small amount of litecoin at btc-e thankfully. Very sorry to hear about the large amounts at stake here.

Anger is justified, but if it helps, this is pretty standard behaviour for btce. Complete confusion, two word "support" messages, missing coins... Hopefully this plays out ok in the end. They covered everyone's missing coins in the other major breach, right? I try to be optimistic. Good luck everybody.

Keep clam & hodl on

I hate to be that guy, but if youre banking your utilities on the value of ltc, then you are in serious need of some financial counseling bud.
