We are approaching the $1000 mark. Do you think it will be cracked before the next distribution? I personally think that we will exceed the mark just slightly and after the distribution we will have a correction of 20-30% again as after almost every distribution.
Why do I expect such a strong correction? More and more users are taking part in the distribution, which are only want the fast money and sell off immediately.
I think byteball has been doing amazingly well anyway, so perhaps it won't reach $1k that fast. Not in the near future. I know gbyte allows to perform smart contracts but is that enough for such a price? The marketcap is low, though. I think this coin will need some project operated on it or some other projects for a price to reach $1k. For now on we'll see something like a stabilization around $900.

Usually after the snapshot, how long does it take for the GB and GBB to get added to the wallet?

Well thanks to folks on here I got the distribution this round

You can make a private signed msg off proof of ownership with the bot of my BTC address from a paper wallet on a NON ever to connected to the Inet machine
once the computer synch'd enough to find my addresses OFFLINE ie 2015

after msg made (and checking for malware etc on usb stick) port the newly made private key message proof to a LIVE on inet machine and all works slick Smiley

(just windows and blockchain-qt download fresh install ..it took like 6 days and still not quite done...but synch'd enough to find my paper wallet addresses)

Now just completely format that hard drive ...as this incarnation will never touch the internet again

paper wallets are still 'virgin' (even thou they fooled around some Smiley

All is well. Still dumbstruck by how this works with byteball distribution....at 100 btc it is significant...

Now, do I hold as we go along or sell...? decisions, decisions?

Anyway it worked, to those who helped you can tell others this is possible with offline paper wallets as we expected..........and they still retain
their 'virgin'ness' qualities in that the 'hanky-panky' they did was OFFLINE the inet and never to return...(format that sucker ...die) Smiley

thus no 'taint' on my nice virgin paper wallets

on the other hand it may take the whole month to synch byteball  the wallet ...it is not exactly speedy

by the by when was the first air drop of byteball Dec 2016?

Curious ...well at least I got on the boat for part of the ride..with a whole 6 hrs to spare (I work nites but well worth the 3hrs of sleep before work to swing this)

thanks a lot to all that helped

brad

If you already hold 100 BTC, why sell Byteball instead of holding and seeing where it winds up over 3-5 years? I see it as a free hedge against scalability issues with Bitcoin and Bitcoin-derivative coins.

As usual price dropped around %20 compared to the price before dist. Now, I expect %5-7 more drop and stabilized price until next phase.

Considering this would be a good way to enter in and short before next dist. phase.

If you buy Byteball via the in-built trading bot, you can get Byteballs 10-20% cheaper than on Bittrex.

the dump was very interesting today. it seems like everyone had their watches set on a couple of hours before the distribution to dump.

what do we think here?
i am waiting for a bottom to pick some additional bytes for HODLing. don't know where the bottom is for now though.

There were 2 dumps - One initially after the snapshot was taken (GB holders hoping to catch in on cheaper byteballs)
And the second one after the distribution took place.
In either case, we should wait for the dust to settle down before we look at the market cap of byteball.

I think it will further go down until 0.21 or even 0.2. This is a solid bottom to surge again. I watching the Bittrex order books and I have already seen more buy orders coming in. The more interesting question is if Byteball surpasses 1000 USD until the next distribution. So far, before every distribution the price was higher than all distributions before.

0.23 seems to be a good support level, it should climb from here.

que only question is.. if bitcoin price goes down after august first, byteball price will decrease consequently.
Or even the inverse can occur...both prices goes up.

I'm "moving" this post here from the main Byteball thread.
I did my own math on the number of rounds left:
If the rules stay the same (0,2 byte per byte + 0.0625 GBYTE per BTC), and assuming 44% more Bitcoin linked per round, there are 3 rounds to go.
44% might be a low estimate, in the last 2 rounds the amount of Bitcoins linked (more or less) doubled.

We are seeing the combined effect of distributions dumping and bloodbath in the altcoins market. We can pass through this.

Even currently byteball going down but it gave huge profit for investor like starting from 19$ and reached 700$+ in 7 months no other shares in the world can give this much profit. Byteball is having huge potentiality to coming back .

I agree. Just wait until September - October. Slower distribution (from Airdrop n. 10) will also help to stabilize the price.

there is no byteball-usd market yet, the coin is priced in bitcoin, so the price of BTC in dollars doesn't affect the price of byteball

i've decided to wait more. and this wait meant i finally invested all i had on bittrex in litecoin!
i am still watching Byteball though. this coin really interests me and i want to invest in it but as you said i have to wait for the dust to settle and i think it has not yet. i'll probably wait for bitcoin's fate to be determined and price rise to start them invest in it. since bitcoin fall seems to be taking altcoins down with it!

The distribution is both a reason for the price of GB going up and for it to remain constrained. Until the free distribution ends, there will be dumpers. You would be better off waiting for the final round before taking a call on entering.
