Need to learn more about is that system with State Channels can be really trustless, or counterparties still need to trust themselves like ie in Lightning Network for Bitcoin.

There are multiple proposed designs for lightning network on bitcoin, I don't know them all. I do know that some designs on bitcoin are trustless.

State channels allow smart contracts to operate off chain, they themselves are trustless.

I will like to know what differentiate this project from Ethereum, Qtum, and RSK. To me I'm finding it difficult to differentiate this from other existing project mentioned above.
