Could someone tell me why `TOTAL CONTRIBUTIONS` counter on aeternity presale site shows ETH 50,496.349, and etherscan.io shows only 46,603.034 Ether (on presale contract)?

The counter unifies info from three addresses, but it shows a higher number actually. It will be fixed soon.

Hey, as mentioned in other chats, Zack has some very extreme ideas about crowdsales and he decided to communicate those in Reddit. Some of his other comments were a bit illogical, but everything is perfectly fine now. He is eating cabbage right next to me.

This technology can be used to insure against the state, which is equivalent to a bet that the government will grow. This gives government people the option to make a bet that government will shrink, and since they have the power to make the government shrink, they will.

It is a peaceful, voluntary, incentive compatible way to dismantle the state.

This alone sounds like an excellent reason to invest.

Time of deposit, but the AE checking tool was not functioning properly. It is fixed now. You can check your AE amount at the wallet website.

So, there is no tool that you can use to calculate your AE amount. You have to use the good old math:

1 BTC = 23.6941 ETH = 26063.51 AE (for contributions in the first 24h)

No worries yeah ofc the amount can be just calculated, my question was more about how to be sure a btc contribution got "confirmed".

Also, exactly how will the token redeem&distribution process work for btc donations? Will it be necessary to sign a message with the address used to contribute?

Lack of cap and communication about what amount of $ is needed to achieve what, combined with poor reasoning for the same, combined with the huge red flag of the main developer going on a twitter rant saying not to invest mean this is a pretty easy pass for me.

We are still in the first 24 hours of phase 1, I think, but currently the calculator converts new contributions as 1000 AE for 1 ETH. Also, the wallet shows the text "get 1000 AE for 1 ETH till 1d 18h 30m". How is this possible?

If phase one started at 13h05m UTC on April 3, then "the first 24 hours" should last until 13h05 UTC on April 4, I think.

If you meant that the bonus would end on 23h59m59s on April 3, you should have written "the first UTC day of phase 1", not "the first 24 hours of phase 1".
