That's a big deal. Huobi exchange is one of biggest Chinese exchanges, like Binance and Okex, which has a good user base. We can see the popularity of AE when it is close to be released.

plus they are starting to expanding aeternity user throughout the world by ambassador program (see their official blog) it is a great idea to make aeternity adoption become larger and easier to find

While being listed on a new exchange is always positive I wonder what the impact can be if a coin is already on morecthan a dozen of exchanges and one of them is even binance. So volume and liquidity is already there.

The two are not the same. Bitcoin-NG is a consensus protocol/algorithm, where Cuckoo Cycle is used to solve some of the problems, that need to be addressed to make the system work, e.g. leader election. Have a look at this topic in the forum for more information.
