Should I hurry to migrate AE tokens to AE address? As I see there will be several phases. So we have more than enough time for it.
you are right. But you'd better migrate before mainnet, because the next opportunity is several years later and need hard fork which take a little risk.

Actually, the next opprotunity will be the first hardfork after Mainnet launch - February 2019. However, I would also suggest migrating before Mainnet launch.

Hi,
some questions about the migration:

Is a mobile necessary?
If yes, will it change in phase 2/3 ?
Do i have any "advantages" when my coins are in the genesis block?
What if my mobile is to old?

Till now Aeternity team didn't mention any specific date when they are going to launch the main net and once they announced means definitely Binance will support the Main net. Maybe many people are spreading the news that this month is going to be the main net launch.

It is too early for exchanges to announce support for migration of token to mainnet since there is no official date for this launch. When officially Mainnet will be announced that time support can be expected. At this stage this is early migration process which basically is to test the system by every possible angle before going fully in. That shouldn't be issue regarding exchanges support in my opinion.

Hello. using AirGap is currently the safest option. You can use an old iPhone or Android phone (requires Android 6.0 and up or iOS 10.0 or later) to cold-store your private keys. We are waiting for Ledger to add the æternity app in their manager. Unfortunately, they were unable to do that earlier despite the fact that we submitted the required info and code weeks ago. You can also use the Base app on PC to generate an æternity account, but that is not very safe. Check the FAQ for more info.

Vlad

WOW

i have missed a lot.  I have a some ever decreasing in value $AE tokens.   I had not heard about the "swap" before.

From whati read it looks like a compelte nightmare to try and "swap" AE over to the new "format"....

Question is, WHY?

1 - Why are AE leaving Ethereum chain ?  (explains price plummeting also)
2 - Has anyone here managed to successfuly do the swap?

If so how? Because the guides and posts i read, it does not seme possible.  Cry

wish i knew about this sooner would have sold everything, now stuck with expensive coins, woth less than x3 what i paid

AE token was designed to be replaced by its on token backed by own chain. This is not something that appeared suddenly. As of price fall everywhere is same story and this isn't for the first time we are watching market experiencing such downtrend. It looks like you were here to make quick money and to shake out the unbelievers this is happening.

Hey,

If you want to migrate your AE tokens, just follow the instructions in the dedicated Forum thread - you can also find other users sharing their migration experience.

Many people have successfully transferred their AE tokens following our guidances and if you have any questions or issues during the process, you can always ask us.

I already migrated my AE tokens which were at my MEW address. Not sure what I should do about the tokens on binance migrate now or later.
