Pools are necessary for a mineable coin. Now mining AE is only the whales' dinner.

Pools are coming. F2Pool is one of them.

We tried to level the playing field for miners. We announced a bounty of 20,000 CHF for an open-source pool, but no one participated.

Now the non-open source pools, which have a large economic incentive to organize those, are entering the game.

Best,
Vlad

You must be naive to offer it without a standalone miner, and bump price to 100K, no body is gonna support your commercial project for peanuts.

Looking forward to seeing $AE on Coinbase next year!   Easy money buying coins that will be on coinbase, either quick flip or long term hold.

Shame about the massive mining rewards, things are going to be very bumpy are low for quite some time regarding price. $AE went from a high hope, to "meh".

Team scored huge Own Goal with mining, and to think it was done "accidently" is a joke.   Hopefully, (which many suspect) its the team mining the coins.  Wink

This mining reward issue put the stake and credibility of Aeternity team on stake. Now they can not satisfy and convince the people those have their own criteria and point of views to watch, observe and judge the things. Aeternity team created high expectations and talks about quality and transparency but they fell in the same rabbit hole in the end.

Mining was and is still completely transparent. Anyone who has foloowed the Pivotal Tracker and has mined on the Testnet was prepared to start mining immediately. Any new public blockchain needs to attract as much mining power as possible in order to provide security. The mining reward was selected accordingly.

Hello æstronauts,

æternity Ventures just shared a great news - Jason Eisen, the founder of UTU Technologies, has opened UTU House in Nairobi — a hub for Blockchain and AI projects.

UTU Technologies is actually one of the startups from Starfleet 1 that builds a trust-based platform.

Read this great interview with Jason to learn what challenges UTU and UTU House are currently facing.

I guess we will have to wait for someone to compile the mainnet wallet for windows till then the only option is to use AirGap wallet.

I must say, Airgap is losing its best opportunity.
If it works we are playing on AE platform now. And Airgap will be the most popular wallet in AE ecosystem. But it seems Airgap can not afford to catch up this opportunity.

Hope other wallet hurry up.

So currently we have some shady pool, called beepool, which is mining almost 70% of the blocks. It would not look suspicion, if the beneficiaries weren't only 200. WDF!?

There are currently 3 mining pools: F2Pool, beepool and uupool

Exactly! I thought AirGap would be the first wallet that will enable us to withdraw mainnet tokens but they turned out to be really slow.

See there is no rush for Mainnet testing we have to wait until final testing has been completed by the team. Till now, we have waited for them to launch their main net in order to get an announcement from the team.
