Pools are necessary for a mineable coin. Now mining AE is only the whales' dinner.

Pools are coming. F2Pool is one of them.

We don't need chinese f2pool, we will better use p2pool instead.

Quote
We tried to level the playing field for miners.

By not releasing a widely-usable howto and pool software?

Quote
We announced a bounty of 20,000 CHF for an open-source pool, but no one participated.

Now the non-open source pools, which have a large economic incentive to organize those, are entering the game.

Best,
Vlad

You as an AE team member and all AE devs are directly interested in ensuring fair mining in the network of their project. But not in that mining was concentrated in two or three private pools.

Although it can be assumed that if the project is not entirely honest from the very beginning, then the developers may not have a goal to provide honest mining. If this is your case - I cannot participate in such a project as a miner and do not advise anyone.

Can you please define "honest mining"? We sponsored an open-source pool bounty of 20 000 CHF and no one participated. We are continuously working to improve the mining tools. Decentralization is absolutely one of the most important goals for the AE team and we have always been completely honest.

Vlad

Hey everyone,

We are continually updating and enriching our collection of guides and tutorials to help you use the æternity platform, build on it or mine.

Please refer to the blog post below to learn how to run an æternity node, how to deploy a smart contract or create a name, and how to start mining.

If you have to explain something (especially in such matters), then it makes no sense to explain anything.

With only 3 Chinese pools available at launch and with significant problems for those who use Windows on their GPU farms? Then all above looks like just blah-blah-blah.

Beepool is a very respectable pool. Also AE required custom Pool Software which looks like no other pools have made yet. Also its very easy to mine on Windows i am doing it right now.

Hello everyone,

Read the update from our development team to follow the growth of the æternity network!

NETWORK MONITORING, MINING IMPROVEMENTS AND NODE SETUP

Since the announcement of the Roma Release, the power of the æternity network has been increasing continuously. A number of pools were announced and more are expected to appear. Windows mining is becoming supported by all of them and AMD cards will soon be able to join the AE mining effort.

The æternity development team focused heavily on improving the mining experience and network propagation times. A native æternity Windows node is coming. Work on upgrading its functionalities even further has already started.

Thank you for all your support,
The AE Team

F2Pool and beepool both now support AE mining on Windows and are open to anyone. AMD support is being developed by uupool. The market reacts to demand.

We are also working on a Windows æternity node with Stratum support and pool functionality.

Best,
Vlad

I set up my 6+1 GTX1070 for testing now (Beepool). I'll tell you some numbers after 24 hrs.

Two good news.

1. AirGap wallet now allows us to withdraw our coins (not yet made a withdrawal).
2. HotBit launched a deposit promo in celebration of mainnet launch

Hello everyone,

We created this table with information about the AE mining pools. We will keep it updated.

ACCESS THE TABLE

We also strongly recommend miners to spread their power throughout the available pools to avoid mining centralization.

Best,
Vlad
