Update - I put the archive address into the moonlite explorer and sent the requested 29292632.40392 moon to another address and the transaction has confirmed. Now what?

I will fetch some more coins my self later on today to try it. Cheesy Moonlite is the best innovative technology the team has created thus far and it clearly deserves more adoption Cheesy Mooncoin_foundation will be here soon to help you with that.

You did it. Simple really means simple.
When you recorded your command on the Mooncoin blockchain by sending an exact amount of MOON to your own address,
your Mooncoin address automatically received a mining reward in moonlite,
also your page https://dknight2.com/moonlite (where you published your command) became the first liker of https://dknight2.com
That means that when anyone in future likes https://dknight2.com, both this webpage itself and the webpage of the first liker will receive a mining reward in moonlite.

Mooncoin and Moonlite are diffrerent things.
If you want to mine Mooncoin (MOON) solo, you need to have a very big hash power. If you don't have it, better join pools.
Pools provide detailed instructions for miners.

If you want to mine Moonlite (ML) you can do it:
1) by posting commands on the Internet (no software needed for that),
2) by recording commands on the Mooncoin blockchain (you need a Mooncoin wallet and 29.5 million MOON, you don't need to send them to anyone else,
only to have a control on at least 29.5 million MOON to use this feature).

How long does it take to confirm a like?

For anyone else reading, here is how to do it in layman terms.

1. Add this command to any webpage you have access to edit, moonlitecmd! like: websiteurlhere !2themoon
2. Visit http://archive.is and save that web page containing the command.
3. Visit http://mooncoin.ml and paste the archive.is link you received into the first box, it will give you a specific amount of coins to send.
4. Send that exact amount of coins to another address you control and then wait for it to process.

I believe I understand how the ML operates behind the scenes, please let me know if I am wrong. When you insert a archive.is address into the checker it inserts it into a database and assigns a specific number of coins to it. It will then check the blockchain periodically for transactions containing that exact amount of coins and if it exists it will confirm it and award ML.

When you insert a archive.is address into the checker it inserts it into a database and assigns a specific number of coins to it. It will then check the blockchain periodically for transactions containing that exact amount of coins and if it exists it will confirm it and award ML.

To understand it better, you have to keep in mind that the platform is decentralized, http://mooncoin.com/ml is only a viewer, it doesn't process commands,
it only reads them and converts to balances etc. according to exact rules which are implemented into the algo.
Moonlite is as secure, as Mooncoin itself, since it's on top of Mooncoin blockchain.
It's like if you put 2*5 on Mooncoin blockchain, then Moonlite will show 10, not because it's Moonlite who keeps 10 or decides whether it's 10 or 9 or 100, no, only due to it's an algo: 2*5=10.

So when you record your command on the blockchain by sending the exact amount of coins to your address, and as soon as this Mooncoin transaction is confirmed by several confirmations,
if you do it correct, you already have mined moonlite and already have recorded likes etc.
Now it will stay forever on the Mooncoin blockchain.

To view your balances, likes, commands etc. you need to recode the information from the Mooncoin blockchain.
It can be done in numerous ways, according to the algo.
If you know the algo, you can write your own script which will show this information.
So the Moonlite Explorer at http://mooncoin.com/ml is just one of possible scripts which reads and recodes the Mooncoin blockchain and can show your commands, balances, likes. It is only a viewer. This script currently is not ideal and works with some delay due to hosting limits, also it reads the whole blockchain and that doesn't make a lot of sense, because Moonlite commands happen on the blockchain only since 2017, in the nearest future it's planned to optimize the explorer to work fast.

When will be the official launch?

That depends on what you consider as an official launch.
Listing at exchanges? The release of the Moonlite Explorer source?

You can mine moonlite right now:
1) by posting commands on the Internet (no software needed for that),
2) by recording commands on the Mooncoin blockchain (you need a Mooncoin wallet and 29.5 million MOON), people already are doing it.

What's the total supply of MoonLite?

No idea. That depends on NovaExchange.
In theory an exchange can put a wallet into maintenance forever, like Cryptsy,
so it's not recommended to keep coins at exchanges.

If you want to sell your coins, you can do it at other exchanges:
https://bleutrade.com
http://coingather.com
http://coinexchange.io.

If you record a Moonlite command on the blockchain,
please let other users know by posting here,
as it's seen from the block explorers people are trying to record one command several times now,
however only the first one who records the unique command, receives a mining reward in moonlite, and double recording is ignored by an algo.
The latest command (see above) was not recorded yet at the moment.

Would it be possible to have the decoder check to see if a command has been processed? That way instead of it saying to send so many coins it would say that it has been confirmed?

In future, yes,
currently the explorer script works with some delay and it will not see the command immediately after it's recorded, and it can show that it's not recorded when in fact it's already done, so better just to post here, no need to post the tx id, only that command is written.

Remember that if people share their experience by posting here, at this stage, it improves visibility of our new ANN thread,
lets newbies raise their post count not by posting garbage posts, quite the opposite - by participating in a fair interesting project (other than mining moonlite)
and it lets people see how real usage of our new platform is progressing.

I added a new section to my database site for Moonlite transactions. It should provide a fast and easily searchable way to see if an archive address has been confirmed yet.

You can view this new section by going to http://cryptodatabase.net/ml

You can search for transaction ids, commands, or the archived link.

As Mooncoin Foundation posted above, please post here when you confirm a command. This helps me as well as I'll only update the list when I see a new post here.

If there is a confirmed command that isn't listed yet please let me know here or via private message.

The archive link checker on the explorer isn't recognizing commands at the moment.

Did you submit it directly at mooncoin.com/ml or via cryptodatabase.net/ml?
What was the archive link?
Edit: fixed.
