Breaking: Bitcoin OFFICIALLY touches $1,000

It's great to see a major non Chinese exchange touch the $1000 level for the first time (in recent times of course). Right now it's waiting for Bitstamp and BTC-E to follow as well (and yes, Bitfinex as well). But looking at how far behind BTC-E is currently, other exchanges need to touch $1030-$1040 before BTC-E is finally joining the four digit club. But then again, BTC-E's price is perfect for some arbitrage trading as we speak. It's always good to have some fiat sleeping there waiting for such opportunities.

On Yobit it's playing around $970 to $980 but I'm glad that it's still going from $1000 mark who knows it touches and permanently stays on that mark this 2017,I have high hopes that 2017 is another great year for Bitcoin

This is really a good news and a good start on this year 2017 on which bitcoin again touch the $1000 mark and im hoping that this time it has a good support and not dip its price to easily just like what happen on previous years on which its price drastically goes down after hitting the $1k+ price.

Bitcoin touched this point of 1000$ few days ago already, on YoBit. I didn't skip that moment and cashed out some of my coins that I get from this campaign. Now on the site the price is close to 1000$ again. Hope to bitcoin will continue it's growth.

Oh yes surely a prosperous new year is coming to everyone. And everyone's expectation that the price of bitcoin for landing to $1,000 mark did not happened last year (yesterday ) but now. I hope that this pump will not stop immediately and if ever it dumps again I hope it won't be dumped too far from its original price today.

Hmm hovering near $1000 right now. And now I regret my decision of selling half of it during $880-$900 as I thought it couldn't sustain such high prices. :/ Anyways, still have a few left on my stash and waiting to be sold for ATH <3 Happy new year, co-bitcoiners! Cheers on our way to the new ATH!

And if $1000 is the "new low", everything can happen, there are no reasons that could explain a fall in price on next months, the main exchanges looks be more safer of what its were before, no glimpse of anything that could cause the price to fall suddenly.

After a quick glance it seems that the Chinese are making the price rise suddenly, I was checking if there was any news that would have caused this increase but nothing has been known, what is clear is that the Chinese have perhaps the greatest influence on BTC prices actually.

It's good to see this happening, I base my opinions off of preev because it's aggregated site data but considering that some exchanges did manage to break that I have to say it's incredibly impressive to see that happening.

I'm getting kind of hyped for the future of Bitcoin, I want to see if this can be sustained or if it'll be correcting itself sometime soon.

Lol...its really happy new year and I see the India exchange sites taking the lead on that and other sites coming behind to reach that landmark... But the issue is not meeting the mark but keeping it at that and even increasing if not at hyper rate, but graduated rate.

$1000 per bitcoin has been long coming and it is interesting to see that come through in a non Chinese exchange the very first day of 2017. However we might not be seeing lots of selloff as would have been the case if the price did as much before Christmas, when traders were gearing up to end their trading year as the euphoria doesn't seem to be there anymore. I guess the price range would linger a while longer, because the massive profit taking might no longer be there. At any rate, the projection for bitcoin for 2017 is somewhere around $2500 and I think there is a possibility.
