Yes, you should but be careful on choosing ICO to invest with because you may lose your money due to ICO scams. Do your own research and invest wise, only choose those have a higher impact in the industry

Use only 50% of your BTC for Alts/ICO. Another 50% you should keep for future.
ICO is a good way to invest but it needs knowledge about the projest as much as possible. WP, roadmap, relevance of a project, opinions of experts  etc.

Most ICOs of late are full of scam and projects that may not succeed or last long in the market. if you've decided to invest on ICO, do your research well on them and understand what they have to offer then invest.  have some bitcoins set a side for the future too, they might just prove valuable.

Hey, if you have some BTC you better keep it or invest in some already existing solid coins from top 20, cause ICO is always high risk, they just can turn out to be scam, but with alts you can increase your BTC portfolio finally.

Try to find an ICO project with a small number of tokens being available for purchaising. Such a project has more chances to grow in price because the offer of tokens is limited. But this is only one of the rules.

ICO means that you can buy a coin, token or a stock before it goes public. I know that there's a plunged happened, but that doesn't mean it is the end of bitcoin. It's been two months from now since we see that there's a little increase of bitcoin's price. If you really want to invest in some ICO, you should read the white paper, the team members and their purpose in order for us not to get scammed.
