About that, well look son in gambling people ought to take away your money from you by different tactics and methods and you are willingly giving them your money but they are still providing some odds, while in trading you ought to lose your money without knowing your odds. Simply you are against thousands in trading unlike gambling only you have one opponent.

Everything is a gamble. Everything you do is a function of perceived risk, vs perceived reward. The things that go into the equation are your level of skill and ability can lower the risk. Getting in a car and driving is a gamble. But most people would consider the risk so low the reward for using a car far outweigh the risk.

most people think only because they don't understand what is happening, then it must be random and this in not just about trading and gambling but in many other things in life, some people are too close minded. you should first do some research, study and then see how others are doing it and then say it is a gamble aka random.

How different is trading from just gambling? I know there seems to be a big difference with technical analysis and whatnot, but in the end aren't you just betting on something completely random?
trading and gambling almost in same path. For some people, if they can't trading so they choose gambling. In a trading, if you lazy to read news or doing technical analysis you will gambling

You are trying to say that life is gambling or you are trying to say that taking a risk is gambling which is wrong. It is right that life is full of risks but it is also right that if a person will worry about these risks then he will not be able to survive in this world while if a person will have knowledge about any field which every person have in some field then he will survive happily and if a person will go to a way which is not for him then he will fail so gambling is a field where no one is fitted in there and so no one know that e will go to success or not so there is differences in life and gambling.

trading and gambling almost in same path. For some people, if they can't trading so they choose gambling. In a trading, if you lazy to read news or doing technical analysis you will gambling They have the same principle, you'll put your money at stake. I think we can differ them simplier. We can not compare them. Gambling is in between the gambler and the computer. However, in trading, it's in between various teaders and a system or trading site that used to process the transaction. You can not lose in trading if you don't panic selling or panic buying, it's a matter of patience and good timing. In trading, what you need is only luck and good control, it doesn't matter how long you do gamble.

They have some similarities like you have to take a risk in order to gain something but they are certainly different thing. Gambling
is a form of entertainment and is not a good way to earn money furthermore it has a much bigger risks compared to trading not
only on your money but also in your mental health cause you can get addicted to it. On the other hand trading is a good way to
earn money with less risks but requires observation, analysis and experience.

In trading if you study the chart properly then it will give you clear picture to when to enter to when to exit but in gambling once you enter you will come out as a winner or a looser and in trading you always have an opportunity to change your decision by buying or selling the coins even if they moving in opposite direction which will minimize your losses.

there is absolutely no similarities between gambling and trading apart from the word "risk" and that is just a word. in deeper levels, the type of risk involved in these two are completely different. in gambling the risks are unforeseen and very high and in one word dumb but in trading you can predict the risks and measure them and act accordingly. although there are some unforeseen risks there too but they are very small.

I have seen the similar question like this on the gambling sub forum thread, and I was answer it permanently. This is my answer in that thread and it could be the answer here: Trading and gambling is not same way to earn money. It is same when you rely on your luck to trade or gamble. You need to have lot of knowledge about market to start your first move on trading. From fundamental analytics to technical analytics. In gambling, you just need to watch and record the pattern of games that you play and believe to make a nice bet. So trading is not considered as gambling.

Gambling and trading are two very different things. In trading there is no risk to the amount you have. You exchange it with someone for some goods or services etc In trading if someone tries to cheat you there are always moderators present. Where as in gambling you totally risk your amount. You are not sure that the amount you have used may or may not return. Very easily someone can cheat you and there is very less you can do. Trading is not luck dependent in trading you have to work hard to become rich. In gambling you don't have to work hard and you can become a millionaire even in 1 day itself and vice versa.

With trading people needs to be much active so to grab the best profit out of it. With gambling one doesn't need to be much active. During the time of the event needs to be active and based on the strategy made need to place the betting. If lucky will get a good earning, else need to face the loss. With trading the loss can be minimized for which more people suggest trading than gambling.

Agree with you, gambling and trading is different things and different activity. In trading there is no risk to the amount you have. You exchange it with someone for some goods or services etc In trading if someone tries to cheat you there are always moderators present.
Your explanation is about exchange person to person, not trading in exchange site like Poloniex or Bittrex, if you try that's there is still risk your money in trading. Trading is not luck dependent in trading you have to work hard to become rich.
Yes, trading is not depend on luck but the skill, patience and how to read the situation.

I think it's the other way around. Trading doesn't require you to be active at all times. Most traders spend a lot of time reading about the coins, the news about bitcoins, etc.. They don't go on for hours and just watch the charts. They simply study the chart, look for the latest news about the coin, the potential of the coin, and then put a buy order or simply buy the coin and then put a sell order right away. On the other hand, gambling requires you to be active unless you're playing dice and you're autobetting. But in most games (i.e. card games) you have to be active since you're the one to do the decision making.

Trading - It means buying and selling. It does not mean that you buy something and either you get the payment double or as per ratio or does not get it. i.e what the difference is about.
In Gambling generally in roulette, computer games you do not require any skills only luck to win it. While in trading you need to spot the opportunity, holding time if price is rising etc and sell it appropriately to get profit.

Well that's a good differentiation between trading and gambling. I think that why many are being mislead that trading is gambling because of the risk it has. They are comparing and thinking that it is the same because it has the same thing. But they are not bearing in their minds that it's actually different. Gambling is all about wagering and trading is far from it.

Trading would be considered as gambling if you do make it wrong and you just jump in to trade without any preparations on how you gonna trade that is called gambling but if a person would use analysis and its knowledge i could say it not the same on gambling anymore since you do already have a basis regarding on your trades.
