In gambling you have little to no influence in the outcome. In crypto you have influence over price via FUD and Hype.

Trading is not gambling. Its similar to some forms of wagering like betting on horse racing or poker.
Gambling is a game for entertainment and trading is business, experience , investment..

This question sounds too random. If you have signed up to this group yourself, most likely you know the answer. Trading is a business, an income source if you know how to use it. While gambling is a way to pass your fee time

Yeah everyone knows that, but many people who do not have any capital such as knowledge and experience about trading crypto then they try luck in trading, of course they have a big possibility of losing and that will only be the same as gambling right?

It doesn't matter how we see it, what's important is that we are matured enough to understand the risk before taking it.
Maybe they have similarity as both in trading and gambling, you need to risk money and hope to grow it and you can succeed or failed, depending on how you handle it.

I think trading cannot be considered as gambling in such a way that they differ from each other. Trading is an investment which the investors are the ones who are having knowledge on how they managed they money and to prevent losses while Gambling is illegal in most countries in our world and commonly used for entertainment purposes only.

How different is trading from just gambling? I know there seems to be a  big difference with technical analysis and whatnot, but in the end aren't you just betting on something completely random?

trading is not gambling when you realize your trading aims, have a trading plan and follow it, control yourself and avoid 'storm' trading or trading under feelings.
trading is that which you work on, and follow the rules which you set for yourself.

if you trade when you have a wish or mood for that then it is a gambling. just entertaining yourself, nothing more

The biggest difference is that, regardless of gambling or any other field, when you invest in learning and increasing your odds of winning, it is no longer called gambling. When trading you have information, advice, market trends, capital management, time of buying and selling, data collection, etc. These things make the difference between financial transactions and blackouts. .

Yes trading is very much different from gambling. The only thing common is uncertainty. In gambling, a person trades on his luck only. In trading also, there is a luck factor but it is not the only factor. A person needs to have a lot of knowledge about the market. He has to make predictions about the market which is based on technical charts and analysis. So lot of technical work is there which makes trading more difficult than gambling.

Sure - a successful gambler is simply a lucky man but a successful trader is a guy, who has a lot of experience and skills. He works very hard every day to earn the money.

for trading you have to instill in your mind not to think about the price conditions that you want to buy and you just need to sell and buy coins just don't think about anything else so it is not affected by the suggestion that trading is gambling.

Yes, that's true. in gambling random percent you'll going to win,
however, in trading you can predict the outcome by using
analysis and tools.

I think in crypto trading there are really a lot of variable factors which depend from various things and from you as well...gambling? well, just luck is involved here.

True and exact point at the same time well i may agree on it cause we all know how hard to be a trader as well we need to be more practical and be mindful person when you are trading though.

Some people consider trading as gambling, but they are totally wrong. Trading is done for investment purpose which in turn aims to earn profits, where as gambling is for entertainment purpose. To become a successful trader you need to study the necessary study material whereas an illitrate person can also gamble. In order to be successful in gambling all you need is luck, but in trading ,skills are also mandatory with the luck. So these differences states the difference between trading and gambling.

Something similar to gambling of course there, but the main thing is always to keep a cool head, have a clear goal and strategy, and to fix profits. Then trading will only be a joy)

Gambling is far different than trading and vice versa is also true. Gambling is all based on the algorithm which predicts the data of users and gives rewards based on how much money you have wagered already. Now no gambling site will give you huge money without seeing how much you have invested in them and benefited in them. This reward based limit breaks out when you have poured enough money into their pockets and its the truth about it.
Apart from this trading is open and you get what you invested along with proper % profits in return. This is solely based on the external and internal factors.  Wink

Trading is  for people who can analyze the market and those who have capital. Because if you do not have knowledge in market, you will loss by your emotions. Be careful. Keep control.

Trading and gambling are quite related and similar.
They both depend on skill and chance.
There is also the possibility of losses and gains.
I wouldn't say any requires more skill or luck than the other. But trading is more technical.

Gambling is an entertainment that can make the user addicted on it, its like you are giving your money without assurance. But in trading you can invest and earn profit but then you need gambling too there.
Gambling is quiet different from trading is very difficult to understand everything in gambling as it is totally luck dependent and also some of games need our experience as well in order to win. Gambling is a source of entertainment and to spend your time for a while in casino in order to refresh yourself with different kinds of funny games as well but trading is a professional way of making some money and is easy if you have knowledge of it.

There is a big difference between gambling and trading. Although some people do see the both as the same, because there are risks involved… but the difference is this– when it comes gambling there are NO loss mitigation strategies. But as a trader you have ways to avoid loss. That’s the difference, so gambling and trading are not the same.

We can say that it is trading not a gambling because we usually buy in low price and sell in much higher price. Somewhat maybe other recognize it as gambling because of the transaction happening in trading. Maybe that was the reason why it is recognize by some people as gambling but it is really trading as its process is very strategic and systematic in a way of normal trading. This is only my opinion though, no hate.
