Hi!

Thank you very much for CoinMap it is a great idea Smiley.
But I have a question for you, do you have data about number of new locacion added each day or weak since the beggining?
I am working on my master thesis, where I am going to explain the idea of bitcoin and source of it's value. Probably number of places where you can use it physically is one of the important factor. If you have such data it will be really healpfull for me.

Than you in advance  Grin

Regards,
Miner_LTC_BTC

I guess the idea of physical places accepting bitcoin being important for Bitcoin's value because of its usability with all that shops, I doubt that. Physical places right now are 100% places that given the choice between embracing crypto and getting some crypto love on the one hand and ignoring it on the other, opted for the former. The bitcoin users are bribing businesses into liking their toy and I would bet that 90% of all bitcoin transactions happen first to show the viability of bitcoin and only second because we want that service or good at that price at this convenience in return. I never bought much stuff from abroad. Now I order from any new bitcoin shop no matter where in the world it is. Socks from Dino Direct? Probably cheaper around the corner. Chili sauce from Honest Ember? Great sauces but is it really worth it when you pay $80 of shipping? Etc. etc.

Also doesn't work for me.

It says: "Currently there are 0 (BTC) and 0 (LTC) places on the map.", but there are 3 places displayed...

hi stick,
i really like coinmap.org and use it since a while.
several times i suggested it to bitcoin accepting businesses and they added their location.

now, since litecoin already has been added and we have now more than 225 crypto-currencies...would it be possible to add any other currencies at some point?

i would like to be able to add "mycoin" ... Smiley

I vote to remove litecoin or move it to some separate url. it only confuses business that I try to sell the idea of bitcoin to.

I totally agree. Make it litemap.org or something.
Bitcoin is confusing enough for many new people, that we'd like to get on board, having other alts adds just more chaos.

Since there were absolutely no donations in Litecoins since the beginning, I was already tempted to remove the support for quite some while. I will probably do so in the following days, because I am not really sure if this page is used by Litecoin people at all. Or maybe they are all bunch of Scrooge McDucks, haha! Smiley

Tried adding a vendor to the map but it hasn't been displayed after 3 hours.
Eat Me Restaurant  Location: 13.7254794, 100.5338981

The location already had a POI. Is there possibly a need to create new POIs for the system to notice the change or is the server just a bit slow to update?

Nothing related to CoinMap. In fact currently CoinMap is using your old data (see the URL, for example).
