Hello, Conventional Byzantine general solutions were based on a reliably closed network because a systemwide agreement was required to determine abnormal behavior. FBA system has a high degree of freedom in network configuration because it is designed in such a way that the entire system is divided into quorum slices and the agreed content in a quorum is eventually shared by the entire network. So, basically, a quorum is a group of nodes whom they can make a consent on the data.

Before we go into discussion, we need to make sure which one we are comparing with.. So, the difference from which one?

How will Commons Budget help to promote the coins?
Well the Congress Budget is a pool of coins that anyone can request for. So the method for promoting the coin is up to the community.

And trust contract is something like a smart contract? Yes, Trust Contract would provide similar features as Smart Contract. BUT the Trust Contract uses OWL to define the contents of contracts and TAL to execute them. It's a different technology from Smart Contracts where they use a virtual machine to execute their contracts. Hopefully, the following image helps

The whitepaper's got a lot of stuff and I'm kind of getting a little... So, if I wanna make a proposal to get some BOScoin from the Commons Budget, do I have to be a Congress member?

9.99 BOS will be reached in approximately 141 years time. So, it's really difficult to estimate the value of the future. However, we are planning to build more applications to enrich the whole ecosystem. And since this is a platform with the Trust Contract, anyone can come and build their own application or service here. We will also be encouraging people to do so.

No, you don't have to be a Congress member. Anyone can write and submit proposals, and all you need is a BOScoin address, which will be used to receive the coins.

I don't really get the proposal part. Does the algorithm understand the proposal and execute according to the voting result? How does it automatically make the right transaction?

No, the algorithm can only detect whether the proposal is written in a right format. And since the proposal contains the recipient and a number of demand coins, the algorithm automatically sends or rejects the coin according to the voting result. The votes are made by the Congress members after reading the proposal. Here is an example of how proposal looks like. Just to help you understand more

OWL? TAL?? Why are you using OWL and TAL for developing blockchain?
The main reason we choose the OWL technology is to provide decidability to the Trust Contract. This is a very different approach where the smart contract is based on virtual machine and provides turing complete programming. Then we found the Timed Automata model is a good fit to our blockchain to expand the limits of the computations of the OWL while keeping the whole system still decidable.

Hi! I have some questions.
Is BOScoin trying to be the new Ethereum? substitute? How do smart contracts differ from trust contracts? What is the problem with Ethereum's smart contract?
