How is BOScoin Trust Contracts different to Smart Contracts?
BOScoin aims to provide the flexibility as well as security to support complex applications on the blockchain. Expressivity is important, but should not be sacrificed for the security of the network. Therefore we used computationally decidable language for the development of trust contracts. A decidable language means the code is predictable and hence less prone to errors. We believe it is unacceptable for a system that deals with the transfer of value to be prone to uncertainty. Therefore we use a combination of the decidable Web Ontology Language(OWL) and the Timed-Automata Language as the programming framework for our trust contracts, similar to the HTML and javascript combination for the web. This framework is called owlchain.
