Ubiq seems a interesting project. I am still trying to find the advantage over NEO. Are there any incentives planned to hold Ubiq?

The DAO philosophical failure and Ethereum network split opened the door to competitors on smart contract blockchains. Ubiq is the strongest: immutable unlike ETH, and with a brand focus away from experimentation and toward corporate professionalism. Once the Ethereum ICO craze breaks and that platform loses trust, Ubiq’s secure network and failure-free track record will present it as a viable smart contract competitor.

Ubiq has an upgraded codebase, newly-designed difficulty algorithm, monetary policy, and several million-dollar projects running as tokens on its chain. Additionally, it was launched in a spirit of fairness with zero ICO or developer premine. Currently valued at less than 0.5% of ETH’s market cap, Ubiq provides a top-tier alternative to ETH at a dramatically cheaper rate.

Blockrewards are decreasing each year , so you could say it will get more value each year - so good for holding.

hello,

New to Ubiq! It got mentioned in some article I read with some other coins and this one was the only one I didnt knew so thought let me check it out.

Read the op and roadmap and some pages of the tread. From what I understand there are some consensus lv changes made to the protocol. So what are these changes exact ? We have the different mining algo. But dont seem ant other changes listed on the OP? probably is me though, maybe someone could highlight some things? Or point me in the right direction?

How is ubiq in regards to scaling for example ? How is it different than eth in regards to launching icos/ dapps on the platform?

Three posts above yours, I posted a two-part interview with a member of the team. A LOT of information in there that you might find useful as a primer, and links to their slack etc where you can ask them these questions directly.

thanks meccaflare0 and BadAstroZA will check it out

A good news -in my opinion- would be the support or a announced partnership of UBIQ from TenX (https://www.tenx.tech/), which looks more than just promising too.

Hopefully, it is not "only" about investors, which push the price (and thus the difficulty) further up after Holiday season.

Egoistically, as I am ... I would like to still mine one or the other UBIQ before it hopefully goes to heaven Smiley

Thanks to everyone for sharing the very useful info on ubiq. I started mining ubiq a few weeks ago mainly because someone I follow on Youtube recommended it. Now I'm starting to actually learn more about this coin.

  • Ubiq's codebase is severely outdated and the only ubiq dev works for bittrex fulltime.
  • The difficulty algo isnt new they took it from digibyte.
  • The monetary policy is only different because they increased the blocktime to 88 seconds.
  • It didnt need an ico, the devs bought all the jumbucks off of bittrex for virtually nothing and then swapped it to themselves at a 1:10 ratio.
  • It DID have a premine thats how they did the tokenswap they still actually have tokens left over that went unclaimed.

Anyone have trouble getting payouts from ubiqpool.io?  Payouts are continuous (their words) yet I've been idle for 8 hours and am over the threshold and no payout.

Hi there,

Just though i'd post up here regarding our Australian UBIQ pool.

We've been running this for about a month now and it's working well.  More miners are welcome!
