Due to the higher than normal solo hashrate it is time now for a pool to be open.

Thanks to the work of D34TH there is a now a BBQcoin pool at http://pool.bbqcoin.org

It is still in early days so any problems the please send them to the bbqcoin.org forums and we will get it sorted.

D34TH awarded the 25,000 BQC bounty for the first pool which will be paid for by me and will be confirm as received on here.

Miner details : pool.bbqcoin.org:8337

Stats updated every two minutes.

PPLNS Payout system.

I'm not getting shares...

Thats because the share diff is the same as BQC diff. You will only find blocks and get full block value (minus his 1% fee) by that way

Capt, I command you to fix the share diff now (lol)

This is all being worked on, the site is still beta right now.

Thanks for this.  This is a great step forward for BBQ.

I pointed a rig at the pool. But like has already been mentioned, stats aren't updating

Charlie Kelly: I'm pleading the 5th.  The Attorney: I would advise you do that.  Charlie Kelly: I'll take that advice under cooperation, alright? Now, let's say you and I go toe-to-toe on bird law and see who comes out the victor?  The Attorney: You know, I don't think I'm going to do anything close to that and I can clearly see you know nothing about the law.

Hi, cgminer says that I'm finding loads of blocks for the pool, but then they all get rejected?
Is this supposed to happen?
I must have found about 300 blocks for the pool, but this is what I'm getting:

Found block for pool 0!
Rejected xxxxxxx Diff 1/0 BLOCK! GPU 1 (unknown)

No I didn't actually. I didn't realise it was scrypt. Thanks for letting me know, retrying now with that parameter.

Has anyone got a an estimate of how many coins I'd make a day at the current difficulty? 870khash.
Trying to figure out if I should solo mine or mine in a pool.

Ok, so let’s say its 0.13 now. Does anyone know how to calculate whether my 870 khash would be better off solo mining or joining a pool?
If solo mining is a viable option, how do I calculate how long it will take me to find a block?

Sorry for the offtopic:

If you need to buy some bqcoins there is a deal right now, and you can get them before they go crazy on the rumored exchange

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=176368.0

PM ME or post in thread to buy some coins, and there are more than that deal

Ok, I found one for litecoin and then changed the difficulty to 0.15. Apparently I'll be making something stupid like 6000BQC a day?

Well I'm kind of having trouble getting it to solo mine in the first place :/

I launch Guiminer and then start the bbqcoin wallet in server mode. Then I close Guiminer down, go into cgminer and I have:
cgminer --scrypt -o http://10.0.0.127:59332 -u xxxx -p xxxx
I also have a bbqcoin conf file in the appdata directory for bbqcoin, with username password, ip and port settings. Then I open up cgminer and get invalid credentials error. Something about pool slow down to. If you could help me get this working that would be great. Happy to send some bqc your way too when I mine a block.

I am trying to mine the pool with ScryptMiner GUI with my laptop
but the web site does not update. I think "stats last updated" is stuck at 18:02:53 GMT+2

However I do not find anything, ... No accepted no rejected.

Add this in the bbqcoin.conf file.

rpcport=7100
rpcallowip=*.*.*.*

Then point your miner app to that port. Should work.

Its to be sure what the port is, any port works

the winning tip was rpcallowip=*.*.*.*

But make sure that computer isnt connected direcly on internet or change the rpcallowip=192.168.0.* etc.. depends on your home network Smiley

Okay, now I've got a bit of a problem. Yesterday I mined 5 blocks in 2 hours. I left it on overnight and its been mining for 12 hours since then and I've mined 0 blocks. I'm justing getting this message every 2 minutes constantly:
New block detected on network
I've even managed to up my hash rate from 680 to 930 and I'm still not getting any blocks. If anyone could suggest why that would be great, as I'm trying to rack up some BQC's before the difficulty gets to high.

is there any online site where can i see how much coins should i generate? or i can use litecoin calculator, since it is a scrypt, and change diff?
Yeah I just used a litecoin calculator and changed the difficulty to like 0.14. It said I should be making over 6000 BQC a day, which I thought was a bit strange, so I'm guessing that's wrong.

@redmist, i am with your question too, i mine like with ~1600kh just curious to give it a try, and i find 1 block (+42coins) in approximately 50mins?

Yeah. It's kind of annoying. Originally it worked perfectly and I mined loads in the first 2 hours, now I'm not getting anything.

Works fine here solomining. Got around 2000 in 6-8 hours.

Getting some rejects.

If someone want to help me get the data needed to add it to p2pool i will setup a p2pool for bbq coin.

I think I may have figured it out. I think if the intensity is to high it doesn't work properly. Intensity at 19 doesn't find anything for 12 hours. Intensity 13, mines a block in 20 minutes.
Can anyone explain why this is happening, or if they've seen this before?

I am running 3 cards in total of 2000~

It seems like it comes and goes a little.

its not much work to setup p2pool for bbq, i just need the correct coin data to do it.

It can be done by using this code

https://github.com/gerco/p2pool  (added bytecoin support in this code, orginal code is here https://github.com/forrestv/p2pool )

Just clone the litecoin info in 2 different files, and it should be ready to go Smiley

How long are the rounds actually supposed to be?  You haven't found any blocks yet.

Because you're solo mining there's crazy amounts of luck and variance involved guys...I get blocks back to back the same minute sometimes and then nothing for a couple hours...it's random so unless you've been mining for hours without any luck I'd chill out.
