You don't need to make the government accept bitcoin in any way. Because once government sees that bitcoin is making people of their country rich, they will start taking interest on it and that won't be good for the general bitcoin users of that country. Remember, bitcoin is not controlled by any central authority which makes it questionable in nature in the eyes of government.
So it is always better, that the government of your country don't bother bitcoin users soon. Bitcoin will survive as an international currency if they keep low profile. Shout about bitcoin will make things worse for all.

i think we really need it and we can pressurize government to accept bitcoin by increasing the number of bitcoin users. if the number of bitcoin users will increase then certainly the government will come in pressure and they must be start thinking about bitcoin and hope that they cannot go against the people decisions. they must have to accept what their want.

The city of Zug, Switzerland, has announced it will pilot a bitcoin payments project that will allow local citizens to pay for public services using digital currency. The move is perhaps slightly less surprising given the proximity of several digital currency startups in the region. Companies like Xapo, ShapeShift and Monetas are among several located in and around Zug.

You just can't. It's like asking them if they could stop supervising you - you're just a person exactly like them, why should one be supervised and monitored by others? We should be free to choose whatever we want and only use the few rules this world had since it was created, out of which the most important are: never hurt others in any way, and never steal. It can be like this, but trust me, not many guys want this to happen!

If governament accept the bitcoin what is the use for people? we will get options to pay our bills through bitcoin that's it. but for this, we have to pay tax for governament. So what difference you found in Fiat and bitcoin payment for both we must pay tax. So if the govt does not accept bitcoin then at least we can pay bills without any tax we can save some money.

you have to make geverments believe about bitcoin becausemany goverments not believe and not knows .. so education for goverments it's important
As a comunity of bitcoin gives education for government about bitcoin is not easy, we don't know how much bitcoin's users on every countries. More good gives education for comunity to increasing bitcoin's users on every place the government will follow what's their people want.

Governments accepting bitcoin wont likely come from individuals but government themselves but it wont be easy with the various clamp down we have been witnessing from the world power countries that could even take the lead on the acceptance of bitcoin but I am of the opinion that if multi-corporations can take the lead on this, then they have the capacity to influence government decisions of the powerful countries after then we can now see other countries following suit...

I dont know why people want government to come into bitcoin, Those corrupt governments. Bitcoin became this famous to fight the government when government restricted the use of fiat. It was used as a medium of exchange to expose the government misdemeanor. Now we are requesting again for government supreme power. The power china has because of the decentralization, we all see how they are using. Most concern is the readily use in your country, however, It is been used. Bitcoin is for the people not any Government.

The only way to have any governments to accept it in any law abiding country is to allow them to regulate it meaning to have them tax at a higher rate then their current sales tax and to have each and every transaction subsidized by them. That is the only way to have bitcoin sway in their favor. And that is not likely to happen so governments will never accept it's use until they are the ones to rule over it with all the power on their side and not the decentralized community that use it.

The transaction wouldn't be linked to you directly. There are ways to avoid getting traced because of the blockchain history. You can simply deposit it in a bitcoin mixer or in a gambling site and since the withdraw and deposit are different, it would be hard to be linked to you. The money would go to different wallet addresses first before it goes to you.
I think your identity is safe even if you've uploaded them in your local exchange site. You also don't have to worry about it because no one cares about you in the bitcoin world. You're using bitcoins, and then? There's no big deal about that. Even the government would not care about you using bitcoins.
Yes, that's why I said it is not fully anonymous, If government can't trace it down, they wouldn't allowed bitcoin in the first place, FBI can trace a suspicious transaction in their country. Even if they can't, Nevermind. That's why government had regulated bitcoin used and exchanges, to trace any illegal activity. Yes, my id is safe, it's just precaution for big exchanges as Million of dollars going through them. I don't worry about it, as I didn't do it. LoL, stupidity to judge someone. Government only care about prevent money laundering, not an ordinary transaction of layman. Anyway, I know about that and no need to tell me, we're talking about how to make government accept bitcoin here.

there are a few solutions to the government to accept Bitcoin, but I think the best way is when the government profit from Bitcoin. The government will accept Bitcoin if they manage in their hands, Bitcoin profitable and not at the source of crime. When criminals can not take advantage Bitcoin to launder money, the government will recognize it as clean money, and allow it to circulate, accompanied by tax. That's my thinking, hoping someone will like me

I have a question for you. How to make governments accept bitcoin and not see it as a threat? So that one could use bitcoin in daily use, such as paying taxes or grocery shopping. What is there, other than anonymity, thats making governments fear bitcoin and cryptocurrencies?
I don't understand why people want government involvement in bitcoin.Government acceptence and involvement will eventually kill bitcoin. If government give recognition to bitcoin and allowed its acceptence for tax and other purposes, this will sky rocket bitcoin price and nobody will going to spend it.

Even if bitcoin users try to be low-key, the government has already heard about bitcoins. Even if a certain nation don't even speak about bitcoins, the government is still aware of the bitcoin concept because they conduct meetings with other nations. The government doesn't only care about their country alone (except for communist country like North Korea) but they also have to keep contact with other nations. I don't think it would be questioned at all because it's not that hard to understand the concept of a decentralized currency. Even if they were to question it, who are they going to ask about it exactly? No one's in charge of the bitcoin thing. Unless they are able to find Satoshi Nakamoto, of course.

For now in my country I don't think the government here will accept bitcoin directly, and the only thing I know that bitcoin would be accept is the corporate companies not the government. Because the decentralization of bitcoin is the good thing why the government in each nations cannot control it,.

Because they do not want their government ledger to be open one. Then value also volatile. So do not able to run the stable economy in the country through out the year.

So sad to hear that, where are you from mate? But, bitcoin users there more than 10K, it's consider pretty much for a country which banned bitcoin used. And, how do you convert bitcoin into local currency? Is there any punishment if you are caught in the act using bitcoin? Sorry, for all those questions, I hope you don't mind to share with us.

I wonder which country he's from. If a country prohibits the use of BTC, its possible that they will also block btc sites such as this forum right? Our government had recently announce the monitoring of Bitcoin Exchange in our country which I think could be the beginning of our sufferings. Remittances in our country that accepts BTC are just few and they would soon be taxing every transactions we'll do. That's what they do.

Just for your support information government doesn't see Bitcoin as a threat and it isn't something to be afraid of , they said Bitcoin can't be regulated and that is true but exchanges can be regulated! what is the sense of Bitcoin if you can't convert it to fiat? maybe almost none ! that is why the government is targeting the exchanges not the Bitcoin itself The only reason to convert your bitcoin to fiat if you are not a trader, it is to buy stuff you cannot buy with bitcoin but as time passes on and more commerces accept bitcoin as a form of payment then we will not need to engage in such trades and buy directly with bitcoin.
