I agree with you. The government will never take bitcoin. This could lead to the collapse of the economy. This solution is especially dangerous for countries with a weak economic system

Frankly making Bitcoin look like a normal currency. Because if the government sees Bitcoin as some kind of threat in terms of the economy or even their national security they would surely take action for it. We all know that Bitcoin is somewhat involve in illegal transactions from drugs to laundering, this is what we need to avoid in order that the government won't see Bitcoin as some kind of threat. Because it can really affect the economy of a country once made something uncontrollable a legal thing in that place. Imagine having a small amount of national budget because everyone is hiding their unrealized earnings through Bitcoin, wouldn't that be some kind of awful thing to be faced by that country?

I think if government would only accept a Bitcoin may have problems and some binding rules bitcoin, especially bitcoin users will be enjoined to pay taxes

Maybe in a certain amount of time, the governments will come around and finally accept Bitcoin as a trusted method of payment. Fiat is still good though.

there must be a strong sense of trust from the government. because if the government does not believe bitcoin then this will continue. the government must take the risk of using bitcoin in the country.

I doubt this will happen anytime soon mainly because how unstable the market value is. Also a country afaik only accepts it's own currency, so I doubt it will suddenly accept a foreign currency such as bitcoin. If bitcoin is a currency is another discussion.

who cares

The government has its hands full in a lot of other issues, and bitcoin being as small as it is now, with its own issues as well, will never be considered by governments as their primary currency. Also, governments are still after stability, which can’t be said of bitcoin right now. Things could change in the future as we are headed towards a more modernized era where infrastructure and technology are being improved to make our lives better and our transactions faster and hassle-free.
Making bitcoin as an official currency, for now, it is too impossible, the government will not adopt it because they can't control it the only thing that they can do is just regulate it. So, for this reason, i might say that it is too hard to convince government for accept bitcoin. However, they only interested in the technology behind bitcoin, the blockchain as we know that they are working on it and maybe someday this technology could be implemented on their financial system such as digitize their currency.

So just like what banks are doing which is adopting Ripple technology. Anyway I don't care if governments will not allow bitcoin and other crypto to be their standard currency (which will never ever happen so stop dreaming) for as long as they aren't prohibiting it.

For me, I think the best way to explain the bitcoin to our goverment is to have our own representative that will clearly explain the advantages of bitcoin. We must explain the use and help of bitcoin to many people nowadays and how it will affect the economy in good ways. I think the goverment fear that bitcoin may make our economy waste if it's value is too low and sometimes it will make the economy poor so that they didn't know if they will accept bitcoin.

I couldn't agree more with your idea to explain government about benefits by using bitcoin maybe it work. Even though bitcoin in the government eyes is negative(it used for illegal activities because bitcoin is anonym). Bitcoin should trusted enough to make government believe with it,
But now bitcoin technology is getting adopted by government, i found this pict from my friend who active in bitcoin. It will good beginning for bitcoin really accepted by government in the next time.

I agree with you that we don't need acceptance of the government as long as they will not ban bitcoin because we can still dominate the world's financial system if we just continue to work hard in improving the bitcoin network and keep adding new features that can be helpful for us and also for long term use of bitcoin.

I think that the discussion is also about how to make goverments accept bitcoin, but not as a primary payment method, but as a different type of currency.
Too achieve any of these goals, we need to see a massive growth of community around the cryptocurrency world, without that there is no such a possibilty to see any goverment will replace their own fiat currency with BTC.
However if we can see that society will demand to accept bitcoin as a one of the legal payments method, governments will simply have to acquire bitcoin, because they cannot resist the community- after all, they have their power thanks to their voting power.

The only way possible to affect the financial regulations of a government is to ease its burden of debt. There are no governments in the world that are sovereign. Firstly they would have to be bought out of their debt to be even able to talk about supporting bitcoin.

That is the first requirement. But it wont happen as there are too many corrupt entities involved in the process.

We don`t need to make them do anything, they will do it by them selves. Recent example is Russia, they will legalize bitcoin so they can track every transaction. I think in one point every country will wish to do the same, they like to control things. This can be a good thing for bitcoin, but in same time cause of this many people that use bitcoin will turn to some coin that offers more anonymity then bitcoin.

On the contrary, I think the government will likely accept bitcoin. However, they will just accept bitcoin as a mode of payment and not as an official currency. Fiat will still be the major money that will be circulated in the economy. We cannot force government to accept bitcoin and also, the government cannot force their countrymen in using bitcoin since not all people are capable in doing so.

What i sense is that if government will accept bitcoin there will still be restriction to to its use, government itself will want to consider how well it will pay them.but for now government is not rejecting it.

I agree with you that Bitcoin can be a part of the economy but not embraced as the major one and the fact is that government can't govern Bitcoin hence it is still impossible but if they manage to find a way to govern it then Bitcoin's possibility to be use as their national currency will be probable though fiat is tough to deal with, with its influence with the culture up to the face of the authority of the government in its citizens.

Well it is a possibility that has a low chance in becoming which in other words impossible. The whole system of Bitcoin, on how it works or as it is, makes it impossible to transform it to be an ideal asset and for the government to legalize it because there are factors which can't be change and stay as what it is.
