The same thing you're doing with FTC? Buying and holding  Grin

Is this a good time to buy at 2k price or wait at a lower price than 2k
And does anyone know when the price will be comeback at least 4k or more  Huh
I think,it is not big risk to buy FTC with 0.1 BTC for long therm.

It's getting json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds, in the official forum they say to use feathercoin-cli to issue comand, but is not clear how to work with it in windows

Hi,

any suggestion on how to solo mine with ccminer?

thanks

It's similar to solo mine any other coin. Just config your local Feathercoin wallet by adding  rpcuser, rpcspassword, port and allowed IPs of your rigs in local network in feathercoin.conf file.

you only need the normal wallet
look if feathercoin-qt isn´t blocked by the win firewall
also check your rpc inputs like user passw port

Is there a lite client for feathercoin? I have a wallet I need to check but can't be bothered downloading the entire blockchain to do so. Thanks.

Try like this

Dump privkey

Block explorer for checking balance.

If price up:

Sweep privkey in Coinomi, send to exchange and get rich...

Does any1 know what hash rate am I going to get if I mine Feathercoin with a gtx 950? Is it profitable? I am thinking of using my gpu to mine some low difficulty altcoin which have the potential to rise significantly in the future.

GTX970 gives about 600-650 khash/s for example. So GTX950 seems about no more than 200-300 khash/s (for profitable see Whattomine). Now Feathercoin is not low difficulty altcoin. If you like exactly neoscrypt try another coin

BTC   Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System   BTC
A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution. Digital signatures provide part of the solution, but the main benefits are lost if a trusted third party is still required to prevent double-spending. We propose a solution to the double-spending problem using a peer-to-peer network. The network timestamps transactions by hashing them into an ongoing chain of hash-based proof-of-work, forming a record that cannot be changed without redoing the proof-of-work. The longest chain not only serves as proof of the sequence of events witnessed, but proof that it came from the largest pool of CPU power. As long as a majority of CPU power is controlled by nodes that are not cooperating to attack the network, they'll generate the longest chain and outpace attackers. The network itself requires minimal structure. Messages are broadcast on a best effort basis, and nodes can leave and rejoin the network at will, accepting the longest proof-of-work chain as proof of what happened while they were gone.

Hi All,

Mentioned the market cap case for buying FTC on my steemit. Was a post on trading strategies, but had to slip in what a great buy i think FTC is right now. Even more so today! FTC at #182 market cap. Nope. Not gonna stay that low for long. Even if you're waiting on it having a huge spike, which it will one day, its gonna bump up with the pack and hasn't yet. Also huge volume. Great devs and long term community...

Anyways here was my Steemit post mentioning FTC. Exciting too as it was my most popular post to date!

Feathercoin's difficulty algo is seriously broken. Lots of high freq swings ranging from 10 to 50(!). You should have been asking some folks who know about Feedback Control Systems...

The difficulty changes to compensate for the changing hash rate as different multipools switch coins. Unfortunately, you can't see into the future, so it is a balancing act, looking at the latest and long term block rate. Other devs at the time of the introduction / fork,  retained the "difficulty change damping", which I was against, which would have made eHRC react faster.

Nothing broken at all, its to get rid of difficulty traps. People jump on high profitable coins and leave them on a high diff until they are profitable again. - FTC retargets every block to avoid that.

Is there any news about Feathercoin? Halving was happened, and now price go to downtrend. If it will brake 1200 satoshi we can go down to 500-700 sats for a long time. Hope it will not happened but without positive news it will be a reality

HI FeatherCoin fans, I need your help or maybe devs of feathercoin will help me.

I decided to create a nice pool for feathercoin:
Ubuntu 14.04
Feathercoin:0.9.6.1

But the problem is that I can't syncronize it - Downloading: 32.55%, and nothing go forward. Does anybody know how to fix it?

no updates yet from the dev but for sure they will bring something to avoid that downfall and since we are inside crypto anything is really possible
so better to keep your buy order in a much safer side and expect things to happen afterwards make a good analytic review before you make some
moves as well, good luck.
